Q: Any way to turn off iOS 7 navigation animations?

The zoom animations everywhere on the new iOS 7 are literally making me nauseous and giving me a headache.  It's exactly how I used to get car sick if I tried to read in the car.

How do I turn them off?  Do I have to revert to 6?

+1 for dizziness and nausea here, too. Called support earlier today and they told me it couldn't be turned off - the rep I spoke with was very pleasant, but didn't get anywhere with it. A "Classic Animations" option would be fantastic!

I've been having no luck downgrading, either. Seriously disappointed - I don't want to go back to my old Blackberry brick, but if it's that or constant nausea...

Or find a NEW iPhone 4, 4S or 5 (NOT THE 5S or 5C) and activate it and it will be on the older 6.1 version.  Just NEVER allow it to update.  After three days of complete dizzyness, I ran to Verizon today and got a new 4S and my cell phone nightmare is offically over. UGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The only thing is the cost! I'm a recent graduate and got my phone for free when Verizon was doing a promotion - $$$ for a new phone is nowhere in my budget

I hear ya    But If you get a 2 yr contract it will be cheaper and the iPhone 4 and 4S are going for less these days.  Especially if you get lower GB like an 8 or 16.  You can't walk around feeling dizzy and sick everyday and it's pretty impossible to give up our connection to the world through our cell phone. So, think about it

The parallax does not bother, nor the colors really. The zooming is annoying and very hard to look at. It certainly could make me sick.

    apple do not be arrogant

implement an option to disable animated transitions

if you consider it an integral part of the semiotics then you have a design flaw

    arrogance will loose you customers

+1 for dizziness and vertigo. I hope Apple is listening, this is really awful.

Call them; let them know you're frustrated with it. I've spoken to two different representatives now and the one that I'm on the phone with currently is trying to help me downgrade back to iOS 6. The squeaky wheel gets the grease, and all that...

I just got off the phone with a CS rep and he said he can't help me downgrade back to iOS6 as Apple cannot condone doing that.

I am utterly at my wits end with this... woke up sick and everytime I look at the phone it makes me more queezy.

Can anyone suggest what they've done?

Should I go to the ATT store and get a new phone?

I got transferred up to a senior tech; he said he's going to talk to some engineers and get back to me later today. I'll keep updating as I get more information. I just stressed the fact that I bought my phone because I liked it a year ago; this update renders it essentially unusable for me. We'll see what happens.

Tried my husband's iOS 7 & have decided not to upgrade my phone for now because it makes me nauseated with the zoom animations. Please, Apple, disable this feature.

I agree, there needs to be a setting to disable these "flyout" animations.  Really make me feel carsick.  I also find it hard to believe this made it through beta testing without enough people complaining about it for them to add a "disable animation" setting.  My windows computer had a disable animation setting over 10 years ago.

+1 : Nausea, lag, please fix.  I have to close my eyes bc it irritates me.  Really slows down my experience.  Reduce Motion = True does nothing.  I really do my best to not use my iPhone now.  Plus I am embarrased to use it in front of iOS6 friends who can operate their phones much faster.
