Trying to update to iOs7 but it tells me to update itunes i already did

I completely restored my phone because it just wasnt working properly in iOs7. Before I restored, I backed up my phone to itunes. When it came out of restore mode, it was in iOs 6 again and it would not let me back up my phone because it said my software was too old. So then I tried to update to iOs 7 once again, and it told me I needed to update iTunes to 11.1...which i already did, TWICE. Now my phone is just stuck because i can't update it to iOs 7 and I have once again lost all of my backup! WHAT DO I DO. Please help ASAP I have nothing on my phone anymore!! :'(

Hey saracenob!

I have a couple of links that should be able to help you with this issue. If your iTunes still says that it is on iTunes 11.0.5, then it still needs to be updated. Since you have been trying to update it previously, you may want to uninstall iTunes from your computer then try redownloading and installing the latest version. I have an article that can walk you through uninstallation, since certain components need to be uninstalled in a specific order:
