Hi,
I updated OS X to 10.8.5 today, and not long after have noticed a screen flicker present in two vertical lines (~1.5 inch wide each) running down the screen.
Anyone else having this problem?

Just upgraded my iMac 27" to 10.8.5 and I'm seeing this also. Intermittent, flickering, vertical lines running down the screen.
I just got my 2013 iMac and it having the same problem. I made the DOCK hidden and the transitions between desktops and window scrolling seem to be smoother. I hope there is a solution for this soon
some problem even when using Maverick... 😟
I don't know how old your iMac is, so I'm not sure this applies.
