Why ismy typing so slow? Keyboard with ios7 barely works

Try Reset iPad

Hold down the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears

Are you using an iPad 3? I have heard that the iPad 3 struggles the worst of all of the devices (comparable to iPhone 4) with iOS 7. The A5X chip isn't enough for the retina display, and from the beginning there have been issues with the iPad 3. It always has been maybe a half second slower for everything because the retina display was just too much. On top of that came overheating problems because of the retina display and the larger battery. Just try to reset all settings and possibly a restore if that doesn't help...

You're responding to a post that's about six months old. The thread got bumped up with a meaningless reply.

And no, the iPad 3 doesn't have any particular problems with iOS 7.1.
