Oct 28, 2013 10:28 AM in response to yax412by fredtate,Mine is not syncing either. Ever since 7.0.2 it won't sync my iphone 5. Phone is still showing some playlists, but no songs, just the circle with the square around it. Patiently waiting for Apple to fix it, I've tried all the workarounds, but nothing sticks for more than one sync, before eveything crashes again.

Oct 28, 2013 11:08 AM in response to hkloversby RobertSch6,It's got to be an issue with iOS7. My iPod 4, which still has iOS6, syncs just fine from iTunes, but my iPhone 4S with iOS7 does not.

Oct 28, 2013 12:23 PM in response to hkloversby simplysounds, apple called me today
prior to them calling i had restored my iphone 4s from a backup created from when i had syncing issues
apple sent me a diagnostic file which i downloaded to my phone
after syncing the phone it created a log file on my pc which i then emailed back to apple
they are aware of issues and acknowledge the fact that different users have had varying successes and failures in resolving the sync issues
i'm now reverting back to my last successful backup (which was generated after i set my phone up as a new phone - as if it was a brand new phone out of the box)
i think they are gathering log files from other users to try and get a future fix

Thanks for this post. Did they acknowledge that several users were having issues. This is very promising. Thanks again.

Oct 28, 2013 1:06 PM in response to your_boy_losby simplysounds, they did indicate that several users are having problems. like all large corperate companies they never divulge any info (no matter how much you fish for it).

Oct 28, 2013 3:21 PM in response to yax412by lonestar78,This one worked for me:
English language (sorry not native, I'll try my best!)
1. Connect your iDevice to iTunes, make sure that you've installed everywhere the latest software
2. On the General tab, select sync automatically when device is connected (the first one), and select also only sync selected titles and videos.
3. Click apply
4. Go to the music section of your iDevice in iTunes
5. Deselect not only the playlist, you really have to deselect every single album, musician. Finally it should show you "0" Titles.
6. Then make a sync. On the iDevice it should be a black screen showing you that nothing is on the device and it's proposing you to go to the store.
7. Now start by syncing again with playlist.
Deutsche Anleitung:
7. Nun kannst du in Itunes wiederum die gewünschten Playlist's synchronisieren.
Above manual that I've tested within several hours worked for me like a charm. iTunes now works as it should and as we know from the old versions.
Best Regards

Oct 28, 2013 5:38 PM in response to yax412by noggy333,i have the same problem when i updated my ipod touch to ios 7, i cant sync my entire library, somehow it stopped at "waiting for changes to be applied"
to isolate the problem, i deselected "sync entire album" and tried to add a single album then sync, and was surprised it worked! so i tried to do this a few albums at a time, then sync until finally I reached the album that caused the sync to hang. the problem is an unrecognized character (displayed as a triangle with a "?" in it), in the Album Name. i closed iTunes, opened it back again, then edited the Album Name and removed the unrecognized character. Tried to sync and it now works. Then, i just browsed through my entire album list to look for the any unrecognized characters. after fixing the album names, i am now able to sync my entire music library.
it wasnt a problem before iOS7, so my guess is iOS 7 is not able to trap unrecognized character in the Album Name.

Oct 28, 2013 5:52 PM in response to noggy333by slee204488,I don't think it is that simple.
As I pointed out before, iOS7 with iphone 5s sometimes (including mine) sync successfully all the songs & albums.
With iOS7 & iPhons 4s, some of my music files looks corrupt so I tried to change album names. No luck.

Oct 28, 2013 6:04 PM in response to slee204488by OliChabot,It looks like I can now sync my playlists just fine. What I did :
-I had many playlists I didnt want on iTunes, so I deleted them (one of them was always syncing on my phone, kind of like a bug that even if I unchecked ''Sync Music'' that one would still sync)
- Then I selected many playlists as well as an album.
Now it's syncing. Did it correct the problem ? I'll let you know.

Oct 28, 2013 7:36 PM in response to fredtateby godbout,iPhone 5 with iOS 7.0.3, iPad3 with iOS 7.0.3, iMavericks 10.9, iTunes 11.1.2 (31). The iPad sync without any issue, the iPhone can't sync a thing: music, videos, tv shows, audiobooks, podcasts, nothing works. I think this month was my IT support month. I had to deal with an issue a week and I hate loosing time with that. All I wanted yesterday when I discovered the sync issue was listening to an Audiobook.
