Oct 29, 2013 12:29 AM in response to yax412by AAGonz,I unchecked the Sync Music box under Music tab, then clicked apply (this might remove every song from phone so be aware), then I checked the Sync Music box again (I never check entire library, just selected playlists) and chose the playlists I wanted on the phone. It worked for me. Good luck!

Oct 29, 2013 3:34 AM in response to yax412by GlynRichards,I've given up with my new iPod Touch 5th Gen. It's sole purpose was as a source of music, now I can't get the music to sync, it's as good as useless. Well done Apple. Well done.
I've reverted to my old iPod Touch 3rd Gen running ios 5.1.1. Works a treat.
Will I be buying any more Apple products?. Nope.
I've a good mind to take it in to an Apple store and tell them to shove it where the sun doesn't shine! Which, is actually Scotland, but you get the point.

Oct 29, 2013 4:55 AM in response to yax412by BigStar1244,I spent a considerable amount of time again on line last night with two Apple Support people. The first had me restore iPhone 5S to new and not from backup from my iMac like the previous evening. Once I went through all that , my music would still not sink to my phone. Calling Apple Support back. (4th time), they put me with higher level tech. support. We tried numerous things. We tried moving over music, deleting music sitting under music folder (grayed out) and then moving over one or two songs. ( did not work), we then tried to move a movie and it did not move over at first and then we downloaded iTunes again. ( I had done this the previous evening without successfully being able to move any media over to iPhone), and the tried to sync the film again - this time it synced. We then tried two songs and they synced. I used to just check tracks from my library to sync, but that no longer seems to work for me. I now can sync songs by dragging them and dropping them into the iPhone.
They were pretty adamant that iOS 7.0.3 is not the issue here. Tonight we solved it, although I no longer can just check songs and them sync them any longer like I have for years to get them on my iPhone.
Seems strange that restoring iPhone as new and then replacing iTunes (again) got me to the point where I can drag and drop media successfully onto the iPhone 5S.

Oct 29, 2013 6:15 PM in response to yax412by misscuocake,I've been experiencing the same problem here.
It was all ok until I updated my iTunes to the 11.1.2 version. That's when I noticed my iPhone 4S, which runs the latest iOS version (7.0.3) wouldn't sync the new songs added to my library, although they are said to be synced in the Music tab under the iPhone info.
I got really mad at it because I put so much effort on my library to keep it organized and stuff, so I started doing all I could imagine, like deleting all songs on the iPhone and syncing them back.
So it got worse, because all of a sudden, iPhone started deleting songs by itself. I'm really really mad right now, especially because I can't seem to find any answers about this issue.
I also have an iPod Touch 4G running iOS 6.1.3, which seems not to have this trouble.
Anyone, help?
Thanks!

so you are saying that you updated to ios7.0.3 and can sync perfectly using old itunes (before 11.1.2)?
Then when you updated to itunes 11.1.2, you cannot sync music to ios7.0.3?
If so, then this could mean it is a bug in itunes......not ios7

Oct 29, 2013 6:41 PM in response to misscuocakeby BigStar1244,Apple had me reinstall iTunes, wipe my iPhone 5S and restore as "new" from cloud. The they had me delete the songs that were on the iphone and then move a movie over to test. The movie synced and then we synched tow songs and they synched.
Apple may not admit it, but there is a mjor bug happening here or we would not ALL have the exact same issues goiing on.
Good luck.

Oct 29, 2013 9:18 PM in response to Randy280by Randy280,Well, my fix quit working. I've tried setting up the iPhone twice as new, loading half the music as before, resetting sync services, reloading the library on iTunes, and repairing disk permissions in OS X. It seemed to work fairly well after the iTunes reset for a while. It hung at "waiting for changes to be applied" today.
The only new thing I did today was downloading a podcast on the phone, then syncing in that same podcast from the computer. So perhaps that's confusing it (although that used to work fine). It's frustrating that there's no detailed log to trace the failure, so anything you do is just a stab in the dark.
I think my near-term fix is just not to sync until Apple releases a fix.

Oct 30, 2013 8:26 AM in response to yax412by Endoviper,Been trying to get some new music I had just added to iTunes synced to my iPhone 5 all morning and just finally managed it.
After going through the various possible fixes in this thread, I had turned off Auto Lock and switched off the passcode. I then went into the Summary tab on the device in iTunes and checked the 'Sync only checked songs and videos' and the 'manually manage music and videos'.
I clicked on the 'music' section in iTunes and was asked if I wanted to apply the changes and I said yes. I then went to the Music tab in the device within iTunes and checked 'Synv music'.
I then did a hard reset on my iPhone and, when it was fully booted back up, went back into the summary tab in the device on iTunes and unchecked 'manually manage music and videos'.
I then pressed the sync button and it sprang to life and is now copying my full music library back over to my iPhone including the new albums.
Glad it's working but this seriously needs sorting out as it should still be a simple process of adding new music!

My iPod Touch 5th gen. is now a paperweight.
Nothing works (and I've tried pretty much everything on this thread) It won't sync any music, none at all, Nada, Zilch, nothing.
After 72 fruitless hours today I emailed Apple to let them know they had lost my custom (and why).
The iPod goes back to the store tomorrow because IT JUST DOESN'T WORK, my iTunes library has been deleted permanently, and I move to Google Play Music.

Oct 30, 2013 12:20 PM in response to Mr Puddby BigStar1244,I can sync music now, but not in the manner I am used to. I cannot get the sync check mark to stay whenever I choose manually select and manage music. I cannot have both chedked and in the past I did ( or thought I did). Apple now has me dropping and dragging tracks onto the iPhone5S. Not thrilled with what I consider a workaround by Apple.

Oct 30, 2013 12:28 PM in response to hkloversby misscuocake,Yes, I thought of that too, especially because my iTunes says my iPhone's got more songs than it actually does.
I don't know exactly what I've done, but I solved the problem. All I did was deleting all songs and syncing them back a few times, and at some point, it worked.
However, I'm still afraid to try syncing again and have it all back.
I still believe Apple should review iTunes 11.1.2.
