Sep 23, 2013 1:52 PM in response to yax412by Lilinss,I repaired iTunes and did a hard reset on my phone and when I connected with the cable, it synced the 2 playlists that I checked. But when I changed and checked "Sync entire music library" or even checked more playlists to sync, it was back to being stuck at "Waiting for changes to be applied"
I tried everything mentionned here and none of them worked for me

Sep 23, 2013 5:37 PM in response to seanmaccby slee204488,I consolidated my library and tried to sync a few playlists without success. The sync got cancelled after a few hundred songs.
I still believe syncing Playlists, not Artists, Genres causing the problem.

Sep 23, 2013 5:43 PM in response to slee204488by EbyThomas,No don't think so. Of my 3000-odd songs, I added about 2000 of them to a playlist and synced that to my phone without problems. Of course I had to to do that in steps of about a 100 songs, so it took me about 2 hours, but I did manage to get them eventually.

Sep 23, 2013 5:49 PM in response to EbyThomasby slee204488,After all the suggested steps, I successfully synced the first playlist(83 songs) but failed to sync the second playlist(350 songs)...

Sep 23, 2013 5:52 PM in response to slee204488by EbyThomas,Try the 350-playlist in increments of 95 or so.. As in add 95 to the playlist, sync it, then add the next 95, sync it again, so on..

Sep 23, 2013 6:07 PM in response to yax412by clevergirl929,So I tried everything above, and finally found out what was causing my issue. On your phone go to Music and select More at the bottom. Under the Shared option, make sure your entire music library is selected. My phone only had what I had purchased on my iphone selected, not my entire music library. As soon as i choose Music Library all of my songs magically appeared, without having to sync again.
Just tried to resync after unchecking a few songs on iTunes. It still won't sync but at least my songs are on my phone.

Sep 23, 2013 8:03 PM in response to clevergirl929by k-pak05,Checking the entire library under the shared option mentoned by clevergirl resolved my problem after a day of waiting screens. The music is there, under the 'other' mentioned by previous users ... it's just unrecogonized until you hit the 'switch.' Still get the 'waiting for changes to be applied' but all the music is there. Thanks for the tip!

Sep 23, 2013 8:07 PM in response to k-pak05by slee204488,I don't see shared feature in my music app. I am using iphone 4. Don't use match service.

Sep 23, 2013 10:33 PM in response to k-pak05by Lilinss,Yeah I don't have a "Shared" option either. Did you do that while syncing ? Were you syncing your entire music library or by playlists ?

Sep 23, 2013 10:57 PM in response to clevergirl929by rcc174,Clevergirl's method worked for me finally! Got everything on my phone by switching sharing to my whole library. Sharing wasn't showing up for me at first either, but I was syncing my phone and then it just popped up and I was able to edit the settings. Not sure how to force it to come up though...
Thanks for the fix!!!
