Nov 22, 2013 7:40 PM in response to yax412by macjay27,I got my music back on my iphone. Apparently, itunes wont sync your songs if there is only one song that is corrupted. You need to find this song (or the many songs that are corrupted) and delete it. Once you did that the music should start syncing by itself. I found the corrupted songs by converting every song from mp3 to AAC format.

Nov 22, 2013 10:11 PM in response to yax412by Kaylajade09,My iphone 5 is not syncing music properly. I tired all the quick fixes. But after a while it becomes a nuisance when it should just work. I love my iphone and miss being able to quickly sync when updating your music (which I do almost every week.) Apple please come out with a fix for this issue. Or if anyone else has a fix that isn't already posted.

Nov 22, 2013 11:03 PM in response to Kaylajade09by TC_D,Have you tried deleting/renaming the database file on your iPhone? I'm curious to see if it fixes it for others.

Nov 23, 2013 10:58 AM in response to macjay27by Jon Sutton,I've made some progress, after days of messing about!
To identify any corrupt files, I selected my entire iTunes library of about 20,000 songs, then did 'get info' and changed a field that I never use: BPM. Setting this to 60 for all tracks allowed me to then put BPM in view options, then click on that column to sort the files. There was one (one!) file that showed up at the bottom with an exclamation mark. I deleted this, then tried the sync again.
After ages (around half an hour) on 'waiting for changes to apply', it finally went through the procedure without getting stuck.
BUT just when I was getting all excited about having cracked it, the sync finished and I had an exclamation mark next to the disconnect, which told me that 4080 items were not copied. Each of these said there was not enough space, despite the fact that it's showing nearly 13GB free.
At least this is a different problem!

Nov 23, 2013 11:49 AM in response to Jon Suttonby Jon Sutton,BINGO!
After the steps above, I synced again and all 4000+ songs copied over (although at the end the info bar in iTunes said I had far less music on my phone than I actually did).
So here's my advice, and believe me I'm very wary of adding to all the 'touch your left ear, do a little dance and deselect this box' type stuff in this thread:
1) Identify your corrupt file(s). Do this by selecting everything in your iTunes library, going to 'get info', and changing the info for some field you don't make use of, e.g. Beats per minute. If you put that to 60 or something for all songs, when you then show BPM in view options you can click on it to sort your library, and at the top or the bottom will be the problem files. Delete them.
2) Sync again.
3) If that doesn't seem to work, sync once more.
That seems to have done the trick for me - it looks like I have all my music on the phone, and playlists up to date, for the first time since this all started months ago.
Good luck!

Nov 23, 2013 12:18 PM in response to Jon Suttonby simplysounds, last week (and after talking with apple tech's in california over the last 4 weeks - sending log files, screen shots and videos) all was well. i was syncing video and audio just like before ios7.
yesterday i started having issues again for no reason. after trying 3 restores it all synced again. tonight i created a new playlist and tried to sync. just doing this has wiped half the songs from my phone.
i've tried re-creating all my playlists (not just duplicating), restoring as new phone, restoring from backup etc. i've also scanned all my mp3's using mp3val and there are no problems with my files.
as i type i'm resetting yet again.
the strange thing is that other iphone users i know have not had any issues. i guess it's only the 138,000 people on this discussion forum?

Nov 23, 2013 8:45 PM in response to simplysoundsby cj4411,I'm having the same issues with my 4S. I did not have the problem with iOS 7.0, not after the first patch. This must have started for me recently. I assume Apple will fix the bugs at some point. I hope it doesn't take them too long.

Nov 24, 2013 11:29 AM in response to cj4411by NCJBST,Don't get your hopes up, they seem to be useless at this point. They keep coming out with "fixes" to everything but this issue that everyone is having. I'm about ready to jump ship if this is what their support is going to do for us.
I loved apple. I got rid of an android for apple and I'm seriously regretting it after iOS 7 and their useless updates thereafter.

Nov 24, 2013 11:36 AM in response to yax412by flightmedic752,What worked for me was restoring phone to factory settings, setting up as new and then resyncing each individual playlist. I have one more playlist to go with over 6,000 songs so we will see how that goes. I will backup my settings as they are now before I sync that playlist. Last time before I restored, 2000 songs were missing and my "other" data jumped from 1.45 GB to 13 GB after that sync. No chances this time.

Nov 24, 2013 11:55 AM in response to NCJBSTby simplysounds,i'm with you on this (see my previous posts on this discussion)
i just spent all of last night and all of today getting content back on my phone. so far i estimate 25-30 resets, scanning mp3's exporting libraries.....
last week all was well until i modified a playlist ( i had added a song and synced before prior to failure)
i've spent around 60-70 hours (at least) on this
there is no pattern to the failures and no assured fix. today i erased the phone again, tried restore from backup 6 times and setup as new phone 3 times (4th time worked). so far resyncing throws up different results. 1st resync i added some photos and all went as normal. i then added an audio track and sync failed to start. 3rd time all ok. again no continuity.
when it all goes wrong and audio content is lost (songs have circle/stop icon by them), it seems itunes thinks they are on the phone as they are listed on the phone so will not sync them back.
today i've been looking at alternative phones
all i want to do is listen to music and create playlists (is that too much to ask)
after talking to apple in california 5 times, sending emails, videos, log diagnostics etc....i've come to the conclusion apple do not know what to do and have no idea how to resolve the issue.
i will not be spending anymore time on this. i have helped apple out emensely by sending data and having lengthly conversations with them.
no more!
bye bye apple

Nov 24, 2013 1:01 PM in response to simplysoundsby BigStar1244,Very frustrating. I have given up spending hours with them on the phone to assist. At this point, I have all my tracks over to the iPhone, but I have to drag and drop them onto the phone. Whenever I sync using the USB direct and not over wi-fi it replaces all the tracks (1200+) each time. I can no loner check the "sync" music box and the :manage my music" boxes together - I must have the "sync all" music box unchecked.
Whatever Apple did (not sure if this is iOS7.2 or 3 or iTunes) but it aggravating and they do not seem to admit that there is a major issue with almost everyone. Shame.

Nov 24, 2013 4:13 PM in response to BigStar1244by mslev,Maybe it would be helpful if this issue was getting some blog/media attention, like some of their other bugs have in the past. That might motivate Apple to move faster on a fix...

Nov 24, 2013 6:52 PM in response to BigStar1244by flightmedic752,I'm sure this is an iOS issue. I have no problems syncing my iPod Classic at all.

Nov 25, 2013 3:42 AM in response to yax412by Mr Pudd,I had 3 days of this problem and nothing suggested would actually work.
I solved it by uninstalling every bit of Apple software on my computer and selling my iPod Touch 5th Gen.
Then I moved to Android and Google Play Music All Access.
I will never buy or recommend another Apple product.
