Nov 30, 2013 11:40 AM in response to ajbrodersenby shamrocker98,I had the same solution as above. Unchecked all playlists in Itunes (win7), and deleted all music from the phone. Then, I started adding playlists one at a time. It's now synching okay.

Dec 1, 2013 5:47 AM in response to yax412by sonicvanman,I had the same problem after adding 30 new mp3's to my Library & putting them in to a new playlist.
when syncing i was missing lots of music including my new songs & playlist.
After trying everything listed, i was trying to think what options i have changed & remembered i have change the "Back up" to "My Computer" from iCloud so i moved it back to Back up to iCoud.............................
& finally after 5 hours of trying to get it to sync, songs un highlighted in "On This Phone" start to sync
It my work for some, fingers crossed.

Dec 1, 2013 12:11 PM in response to yax412by mochein,I've been reading the forums for the past 24 hours trying to figure out what to do since my phone refused to sync with my Mac desktop after the recent iOs 7.04 update. I tried mostly everything suggested and even contacted Apple support ($19 for nothing!) and was told to delete my music file and resync. Either the sync process indicated it was complete (but no changes were made) or that it would freeze at the last step. The suggestion I found at the beginning of this thread worked! I held down the home button & top button until the apple icon came on for my 4S. Then turned off the passcode function & back up to the cloud option. On the summary page of my phone for itunes, I unchecked everything under "options" and unchecked "sync" under the music tab. This allowed me to delete my music. Once that process occurred, I reloaded everything without any problems. The Apple support person said I had a corrupted file which prevented the syncing process to complete. Even after finding the possibly corrupt music file and deleting it (it had the download icon next to it even though I bought it two months ago), I still couldn't sync. The suggestion early on in this posting did the trick. Thanks!!!!!

Dec 2, 2013 6:11 AM in response to yax412by paulroberts54,WAKE UP APPLE - POSSIBLY SOME OF THE THOUSANDS OF POSTERS HERE, AND I, USE YOUR SYNCING SYSTEM FOR MY PROFESSIONAL WORK, FOR MY VITAL BACK-UP. I AM A PERFORMER AND WORK IN MANY PLACES WHERE I NEED THIS FACILITY TO DO WHAT IT SAYS IT SHOULD. WITH YOUR CONSTANT FLOGGING OF ALL THINGS iTUNES AND ALL. I HAVE BEEN AN EVANGELIST FOR YOUR COMPANY FOR MANY YEARS AND EVEN APPEARED AT BRIGHTON AND HOVE iLIFE (2007 I BELIEVE) IN ORDER TO SELL YOUR PRODUCTS (50 G5 DESKTOPS TO BE PRECISE IN ONE DAY)....YOU ARE BECOMING A JOKE.....YOUR ATTITUDE *****. WHY ON EARTH ARE YOU LETTING THIS GO AND LEAVING IT TO ROT ON A FORUM.....IT WOULD SEEM YOU ARE ALLOWED TO MESS US AROUND WHENEVER YOU LIKE - YOU OFFER NOTHING BUT ARROGANT ANSWERS TO FUNDAMENTAL ISSUES - SUCH AS 'RESTORE' ETC ETC BLAH BLAH BLAH. WE SHOULD NOT NEED TO, IT IS THAT SIMPLE.... I AM STRONGLY THINKING OF OFFERING THIS RIDICULOUS STORY TO MY VERY GOOD FRIENDS IN THE PRESS (SOMETHING I HAVE NEVER DONE) AND HOPE THEY WILL EMBARRASS YOU IN DUE COURSE. THIS IS NOTHING SHORT OF A TOTAL DISGRACE.

Dec 2, 2013 6:21 AM in response to yax412by bmugmu,After more than a month of trying everything here, I finally gave up and made an appointment with the Apple store this weekend. Music, it turns out, was a symptom of a larger syncing issue- there were some ghost apps that weren't syncing either, and syncing was aborting before it even got to the music. Since backup was working, they did reset and restore my phone from the most recent backup, and everything finally synced. I had been hoping to avoid doing that, but it was worth it to have everything working again. They did say that they had seen several iPhones that had corrupted files that interfered with syncing after the ios7 update, and that updates to the ios aren't going to be able to fix those that were already corrupted.
I have an iPhone 4S with the latest versions of itunes (MacBook) and ios7. Hope this helps others.

Dec 2, 2013 1:58 PM in response to bmugmuby welshwizard1927,Does anyone at Apple care? I have had this problem today and cannot find a way to fix it. I'm absolutely gutted and really annoyed by this.
I'll ask again...Does Apple CARE?!

Dec 2, 2013 3:48 PM in response to welshwizard1927by paulroberts54,No - not since they launched the ipod have they given a ****.......all of my friends(bulk buyers-programmers and developers) bought into, worked for and supported Apple many many years ago when they were a less rich company - go figure....I guess all the crap they put in the 'I AGREE' screens we never read protects them from anything no matter how wrong or totally illogical it is....itunes is their reason for so many things but it is failing 100% and very miserably. I like many others - this issue apart - are dumping iphone for android so I suggest all who are getting no customer service should do the same.....it would be a start.....

Dec 2, 2013 4:18 PM in response to yax412by Harry10421,I have had the same issue and I noticed that my phone was not syncing all my music because it appeared to the sync process to be out of space, which it was not. I have a 64GB 5s phone with plenty of room.

Dec 3, 2013 1:33 AM in response to Harry10421by kouroshafrashteh,Have iPhone 5 and latest iOS and iTunes.
After many exhausting attempts the only thing that worked for me was a factory reset, backup from previous backed up version, uncheck all boxes in summary, uncheck sync all music library in music tab, apply / sync and then re-check it and sync.
Even after all above it still did not work UNTIL I turned off the Passcode and then unchecked sync all music in music tab --> apply --> check sync all music and --> apply and then lo and behold all the music was synced.
Somehow the passcode being turned off was key for me.
So not sure I even needed to do the factory reset business to be honest. Maybe all I needed was to turn passcode off but I guess I will never know and hopefully never again need to know.
Hope that helps.

Dec 3, 2013 6:10 AM in response to one_andyby Funmunke,After some research I managed to get everything to sync but it's not a fun process.
The main issue appears to be corrupt data. I'm not pointing fingers but it looks like the update process from iOS 6 to iOS 7 corrupted a number of things. If you do a clean install of just iOS 7 and rebuild your iPhone manually everything works.
Again you CANNOT use a backup. The backup has the corrupt data in it.
Here is a step by steup:
1 - Make sure all your purchases are on your PC / Mac.
2 - In your iPhone - go to "Settings" - "General" - "Reset"
3 - Follow the onscreen instructions and completely wipe your phone.
4 - When it boots back up - DO NOT restore the phone from a backup.
5 - Manually set your phone up - Yes this is a pain in the butt - Email accounts, settings, app organization, everything has to be redone.
On the brightside if you do this you will have a very clean phone. It will be all set for the next time..."someone" goofs up and corrupts your data.

Dec 3, 2013 6:28 AM in response to yax412by father82,Hello everyone
Same here ,I found that restoring from a back up the problem keeps coming back .
I did a full erase and started from a new iOS,I did synced my music first before making changes to my setting email and programming of the my apps and or adding any iCloud configuration or iTunes set up on my phone .
It worked, all my music is in my device and then I set up the other stuff ,I know this ***** because everything will be erase and you configurations are all new again :( .
Hope this helps

Dec 3, 2013 10:35 AM in response to marriedtoatechieby TannieWu,Guys, don't waste your time with 'workarounds', none really works! If you got it work, you're sheer lucky... next time you add a few tracks it will fail again...
