Sep 25, 2013 5:47 AM in response to yax412by StreeX,Ok, so I turned on home sharing on my iphone and as I previously mentioned, this didn't work.
However, I went into my itunes on my mac and noticed it wasn't active on there, so I turned on home sharing.
Next thing I know my music is being synced!
No failed syncs and it it appears on my phone as it should.
Verdict is out whether this is a solution, as I don't think it will work once I have moved away from the mac or the mac is switched off. I guess I will see later on today...

Sep 25, 2013 5:55 AM in response to Vedalomanby wilmawarrior,My playlists are not working. I have several "smart" playlists that work correctly on the mac, but on my iphone - which was upgraded to the failure ios 7 - the smart list is "dumb"! The title of the playlist is there but the songs in the playlist are totatlly random and do not match the criteria in teh playlist.
I've done the home sharing suggestion on this thread - does not help at all.
Apple - you need to fix this!!

Does Apple have a TV ad that brags about how many users rely on the iphone to listen to their music?!? hmmmm

Sep 25, 2013 11:33 AM in response to wilmawarriorby rcc174,So while the home sharing "fix" worked for me, I also had a problem with over 1 GB of memory that suddenly became "other" (i.e. corrupted?). This has never happend to me in my years of having an iPod/iPhone until the ios7 update. So I figured I would try a restore and see if that fixed the other issue as well as the playlist syncing issue.
After the restore, however, I got the same problem many of you have where it wouldn't sync anything - my apps, my music, etc. It got hung up completely overnight and wouldn't load anything. I also couldn't get iTunes to start up after shutting it down after the failed sync.
I tried uninstalling Bonjour, which I believe is responsible for AirPlay and makes your AppleTV work with your computer (?). Tried syncing, and everything worked. I have all the correct playlists (the ones that are supposed to be on my phone) and I don't have to do the Home Sharing fix. All my songs show up correctly.
So maybe if you are getting the syncing problem, try uninstalling Bonjour? Of course, this likely means my AppleTV now won't work and I still have this "other" corrupted memory that I would like to reclaim, but it somewhat fixed the problem for now.

Sep 26, 2013 11:01 AM in response to surati09by crazychick18,What do you mean by organizing the files? How do you do that? I've been trying to do this for three days now.

Sep 26, 2013 11:10 AM in response to yax412by SkylerDaniels,This organizing files trick didn't work for me.
Has anyone talked to someone from Apple about this?
I sure hope 7.01 addresses this...

Sep 26, 2013 12:32 PM in response to yax412by pdwar,I am having a very similar issue, but it is with my iPad. Only purchased music is showing up on my iPad and now it is in the cloud. I am not having any luck re-syncing when it is connected to iTunes on my Mac. What I want is to get all my music back on my iPad, that is purchase and CD downloads.
On a strange note, I did not have any issues with my iPhone.

Sep 26, 2013 1:04 PM in response to Arminelloby jon8979,The only thing that got my Touch stable for music again was to set it up as a new device, NOT restoring a backup. After various attempts at resetting, reinstalling iOS 7, etc, I tried skipping the restore from backup step, and that immediately allowed my syncs to complete successfully, with all the music I synced appearing on my iPod. I decided to keep iOS 7 at that point instead of reverting to iOS 6 in the brief time window I figured I had. However, I really wanted to restore from a backup and keep my settings, but when I tried again, the same problems with sync and music came back. I fought it another couple of days before giving up and setting it up as a new iPod again. That was about a week ago, and it's been fine since.
Even though I didn't restore a backup, some settings were retained thanks to iCloud, e.g. Safari favorites, iBooks bookmarks, and my Contacts. I emailed myself my Converter+ custom templates, which that app makes easy to re-enter from the email. My Tapatalk accounts were preserved thanks to Tapatalk ID. However, I lost all my Dictionary app favorites, and I had to re-enter all my passwords. But at least my Touch is stable again.
