Mar 16, 2014 3:09 PM in response to Arminelloby simplysounds,Go android. I've had my galaxy note 3 for a week now. after having apple ipods and iphones (since 2nd gen ipod) I have copied over 125 playlists with 6500 songs. I can honestly say it all works so well I'd never go back to buying apple products. My note does so much more it makes the iphone look like a childs toy.

Mar 16, 2014 3:17 PM in response to simplysoundsby kgecklund,Hey simply sounds,
Do you sync your galaxy with itunes or do you use a different program? I love iTunes and have always had apple products but I have an upgrade and a galaxy is looking really good.

Mar 16, 2014 3:36 PM in response to kgecklundby simplysounds,yes, i use itunes and a program called isyncr. it scans the itunes library and syncs the playlists and songs. it takes a little bit longer but it works well.
there are other free programs like doubletwist but out of all of them i prefer isyncr.
for video and photos i just drag and drop to the 64gb micro sd card. with most of the itunes to android sync programs video and photo syncing isn't too good. it will copy everything over without a choice of selecting individual videos or photo folders. it's not a big problem as i don't tend to change videos and photos too often. adding and deleting from the sd card isn't a problem.
my note3 is set up like my iphone (but better)

Mar 17, 2014 1:47 PM in response to yax412by Stephen Jobs,- I had this EXACT same issue -
MY FIX:
I FIXED this problem by simply checking the "Manually manage music and vidoes" (under iTunes>iPhone>Summary> Options > "Manually manage music and videos") and Re-Syncing.
My Stats:
iPhone 5 with iOS 7.0.3
Current version of iTunes as of 3/17/2014 - (St. Patrick's Day!!! ) which is: 11.1.5
Under Options I have the boxes "Sync with this iPhone over Wi-Fi" (even though I did NOT do this - I used the cable) and "Sync only checked songs and videos"
Also ALL of the other boxes inside the tabs Info -thru- Photos were un-checked.
My Attempts:
Killing ALL Apple/iTunes processes
Restarting PC
Uninstalling then reinstalling iTunes
Hard/soft resets of the iPhone (normally, just to update, I have to factory reset and then restore from Back Up, because I have the iTunes curse, but NOT this time)
Also tried killing all background apps, and turning auto-lock to never
^However, when I got this to work, apps WERE running in the background, but auto-lock was on never
Using multiple usb cords - I used 3 different lightning usb cables
^When I got this working I was currently using the 3rd cable.
^^The first and original cable came with MY iPhone which I got around September of last year, and the other 2 cables came with iPhones purchased later on - ALL were iPhone 5.
All of these attempts were made MANY times in MANY different orders
Conclusion:
All I did was seriously check the "Manually manage music and videos" box, and it worked.
Some songs got deleted (but with iCloud, they were easily re-downloaded (did not even lose their places in the Music app) - I do not know the cause of this other than the deleted songs were purchased on the aforementioned iPhone 5)
All my Photos, videos, iBooks, Tones, TV shows, etc. are managed manually anyway.
Someone please tell me if this is rubbish or if it worked - thanks!

Mar 19, 2014 12:02 PM in response to Stephen Jobsby maxundmilian,Seems the 7.1 update fixed my issues, all of them!
Had to clear my phone of all music first, though - and not via iTunes, since I noticed that when emptying the phone via iTunes most songs still either stayed on the phone or iTunes still would show them greyed out, even though no songs had been on the phone anymore. So I had to go to settings on the phone (iPhone 4S), delete the music there, then restart the phone. Did all that before the update. Now all's fine! (so far, and I hope it stays this way).
After the update and the fresh sync I noticed double, triple or quadruple covers within several of my playlits, that shouldn't be there. Opening the according albumes in iTunes revealed, that these must have been corrupt covers, deleted them and imported the covers anew - now this issue's solved as well. Seems that iOS7 couldn't mange problems like these (which previous iOS versions hadn't had a problem with, though). If the 7.1 update isn't working for you, try to delete all music on the phone via settings and then sync your phone again. Please tell, whether this is or isn't of success for you.

Mar 19, 2014 8:10 PM in response to yax412by krisztinastar,I am having a similar issue after the latest iphone 5 update (ios 7.1). everything but mp3s seems to be syncing ok, but not the music. it gets about halfway there then flashes "cancelling sync" very quickly then stops syncing. it always seems to quit at the same point - 10-15 tracks in. i tried adding to a playlist in 90 track increments and this sometimes seems to work, or the songs sometimes copy over, but then it starts quiting again. help!!!! ive tried a hard reset and this is a brand new version of itunes...

Mar 21, 2014 8:15 AM in response to yax412by felipewanzeler,I'm so f**king done with Apple.
I own an iPhone 5 (32 GB), an iPod Classic 7th generation (160 GB), and an iPad 2 (32 GB) and NONE OF THOSE can sync music anymore.
It began with my iPod and I was convinced that its hard drive was broken so I BOUGHT A NEW IPOD CLASSIC – in my country a new iPod Classic is sold for $600 – just to find out the problem wasn't the hard drive.
Now I got two f**king iPods – 296 GB of storage available – with no f**king music on both.
The problem is definitely iTunes. So, PLEASE, Apple, fix this s**t, because I'm so f**king done I just bought an Android phone from your biggest enemy to listen music.

Mar 21, 2014 8:37 AM in response to felipewanzelerby Stephen Jobs,Have you tried checking the "Manually manage music and videos" box and re-syncing?

Mar 21, 2014 8:44 AM in response to Stephen Jobsby felipewanzeler,I tried every possible thing:
• Manually manage songs and videos;
• Sync only checked songs and videos;
• Convert higher bit rate songs to 128, 192 and 256 kbps;
• NOT convert higher bit rate songs;
• Check and uncheck all the songs and sync again;
• Restore all my devices;
• Reinstall iTunes;
• Buying new devices.Nothing managed to work, my friend. Nothing.

Mar 21, 2014 8:49 AM in response to felipewanzelerby Stephen Jobs,Well I just know that I tried everything you tried as well, but when I checked "Manually manage songs and videos" it worked, and thats the only thing I had checked.
What version of iOS are these devices running on?

Mar 21, 2014 12:48 PM in response to felipewanzelerby BigStar1244,I, like many, have been battling these issues for months now. The other night I had a Tier 2 Apple Tech walk me through a process I thought would not work as well. We downloaded the current 0/S and set my Iphone 5S up as a new phone. I went through the painfully long process and set the iPhone up as a new phone after installing the O/S 7.1 again. Once I installed the O/S and went through the entire process I was able to connect to iTunes 11.1.5 and unchecked "manually manage music and videos," and checking, under summary in iTunes, "Synch Msuic" and select "Entire music library." I beleive that my O/S had become corrupted and this fixed it. I have been battling this for several months and I am finally back to the way I synched songs prior to the corruption point (maybe not related, but happened around the time iTunes 11 was released).

Mar 21, 2014 1:12 PM in response to BigStar1244by simplysounds,Did the same thing. Next time there is an os update you'll be back to square one. At the moment all will be well, you'll be able to modify and create playlists but when you update os7x again you'll have the same issue. You'll have to do it all over again. Apple think they are kings of smartphones and tech but this is just a jedi mind trick.
