Time zone problems with iOS 7

Why does my iPhone 5 automatically set the time zone for Chicago when I live in Tennessee after I updated to iOS 7?

Sprint is my carrier. I live in Nashville, central time zone so Chicago would be my time zone, however when set to automatic on LTE, I get New York set as my time zone. I have tried Reset Network Settings, and pretty much reset everything else you can reset under iPhone's settings, including a hard reset of the phone. Unfortuantely it hasn't helped. I'm going to call Sprint early next week to report the issue.

have the same problem...live in maryville, tn, and am showing on Central Time. I called sprint and they told me that it was an apple issue. I'm sure if i call apple, they will tell me it's a sprint issue. One thing I did read is that sprint doesnt own a lot of its towers, but rather rents space off of verizon's towers.....It would be interesting to see if any verizon customers are having the same issue. Either, way, I hope they get a fix out soon. I travel back and forth across the Eastern and Central Timezones, and need the automatic update to take place rather than having to manually change it each time.

Just having updated to IOS7, I am having problems with the time zone too. The first evidence was that the clock face showed Cupertino time although I am in Austria (Vienna time zone). With Set Automatically on in Settings -> Date & Time I only saw the revolving wheel (possibly because the Location feature isn't working for me - it never did in IOS6). However, changing Set Automatically off immediately showed the correct Vienna time zone (and the clock face also showed the correct local time). After changing Set Automatically back to on, the rotating wheel returned again, although the clock face continued to show Vienna time.

As I said, I suspect this problem is due to the Find Location function not working for me (at home, out in the country - in Munich it does seem to find my location). I had hoped that this problem (reported here in an earlier thread) would have been sorted in IOS7.
