Sep 22, 2013 10:42 AM in response to Murphy1888xby jlricci,I read something about a battery issue. My 4s is a replacement device from Verizon after my original phone had a speaker issue. It is probably the battery in mine, too but I just left the Verizon store and they wouldn't/couldn't do anything. They referred me back to Apple.

Sep 22, 2013 5:47 PM in response to jlricciby jlricci,Just got back home after taking phone to Apple Service Store (Simply Mac) and they diagnosed my problem as the battery. Went to Verizon and they are replacing my phone under warranty. Still no phone until it us shipped to me but hopefully it will have iOS 7 already installed on it.

Oct 24, 2013 1:41 AM in response to asafbjby warrencrescent,I have the same error 29 here in Ireland. Happened during an update of a 4s from iOS 7 to iOS 7.0.3
I have tried to restore both via a PC and a Mac. Neither works. Fails to update and retore 75% through the restore.
Apple want me to bring it to a foreign country to get the phone serviced!
They have sold 400,000 iphones here but have no one to service them!
So I now have a lovely white paperweight.
Thanks apll for f'king up my iphone during an update. Looks like I am not alone in this issue.
Get you finger out and fix this.

Oct 26, 2013 1:20 AM in response to asafbjby Haziq Hamizi,Just fixed my error 29 problem on iphone 4s. The apple support is useless. Went to the service centre and said they could not fix this problem. Did some research and found out it is a hardware problem and most likely it is a battery problem. So those who have this problem go try to get your battery replaced. It works for me. Buy online or something for 20 bucks. After replacing just restore again. Hope this helps. I know the frustration but dont give up yet.

Dec 25, 2013 9:33 AM in response to asafbjby RudoyDennis,Yahoo!!!!! It worked. I also changed my battery a while ago. Luckily I had an extra battery my friend gave to me when he broke his iPhone (maybe you guys have your old battery), I found a knife since I have screwdrivers but I strongly recomend you to find specific screwdrivers and then I youtube the video how to change the battery. Voilà... Works like charm now, thanks for advice
