Airplay symbol button is missing in music app in IOS7

Hi apple support,

in IOS 7 there is no more the airplay button accessable directly in the Music app in IOS 7.

I know that airplay is available in the new controlcenter, but it now is significantly less convenient to access.

It now requires 5 times a finger movement/press to change to an airplay device than before where it was 2.

IOS7:

1. Slide up to open control centre.

2. Press Airplay

3. Choose the Airplay device

4. Press Done

5. Slide down or press home button to close control centre

IOS6:

1. Press Airplay symbol in music app

2. Choose Airplay device

This change is not really understandable, especially considering that this funtion obviously is used often and where in Videos playback the button still exists!

This is a step back!

And a bug: When using the music app in portrait mode, then opening control centre (which is correctly in portrait mode too) then pressing airplay, the new airplay menu opens in landscape mode!

Please go back to having the Airplay symbol button next to the controls (previous, play, next) like before! Also on the lock screen.

Or maybe i was missing something here?

Thanks

Same here. I'm on a 4s and the only way I can get to airplay is to hit the lock button, swipe up, change the airplay speakers, swipe back down, swipe to unlock, then reopen the music! And that's without a passcode! This thing will get replaced soon with another brand if this is what I have to look forward to with the new direction of Apple.

I removed my case, and even going commando style, I get no control center in the music app (nor photo app, and many other apps as well). The irony here is that the only reason I got an iphone in the first place is for airplay and the conveniece it offers. Now that it's becoming a pain to use, why wouldn't I switch to android? And while I'm at it why wouldnt I get a roku to replace my apple tv which doesn't have nearly the apps as a roku. What up apple? Step up your game.

I have just spent £1100 on a Bowers & Wilkins A5 and A7 only to find that iOS7 Airplay only shows up unless I reset my router every time I want to listen to music! This is the only way to get the Airplay icon to show up on the control center and it's not acceptable...

I don't see why Apple seem ****-bent on making their software inferior with every release (see Pages, Numbers, Keynote etc). Why have they removed the Airplay button from the Music player ffs?!?! What planet are they on?

Come on Apple we pay a premium for your products and expect more than this.

I don't want to reboot my router everytime I play music, this is not why I paid £1100 for 2 Airplay devices (plus £560 for an ipad Air, plus £400 iphone 4s).

Apple please advise immediately. I am a very unhappy customer.

Airplay Still not here !

Anyway, I tried the new google play music app: great user experience and the airplay button is here, and work just well.

Moreover, google offer an itunes match equivalent (for free) that work well with my 6000 songs, now on the cloud:

I'm going to probably switch to google music app if the apple music app experience do not improve and especially for the airplay issue. My only complain is that google play music is not yet optimized for ipad... But it will come soon for sure.

Like for map/google map, it seems that apple just kill their own app for the benefit of google... So strange !

I'm afraid that it's even worst on the Google side. I don't think you will really enjoy using spydroid. Apple devices are still far superior but ios7 (and I generally like it btw) is a very painful transition for the company. They have lost a lot of brilliant people recently including the head of ios and it shows.

It might be that this thread is not large enough for Apple to care, so if you are following this thread but didn't leave your comment yet please do. Have to get critical mass of angry posts to draw their attention.

I think its important to make clear that this thread is NOT about network problems which cause Airplay to not function correctly.

Its about Apple removing the Airplay Button from the Music App in iOS7, which is a major step back in user experience. Airplay is great, and having the Airplay symbol right next to my player controlls (like in the video players etc.) is the way it should be. So please Apple, bring it back to the Musik App.
