Airplay symbol button is missing in music app in IOS7

Hi apple support,

in IOS 7 there is no more the airplay button accessable directly in the Music app in IOS 7.

I know that airplay is available in the new controlcenter, but it now is significantly less convenient to access.

It now requires 5 times a finger movement/press to change to an airplay device than before where it was 2.

IOS7:

1. Slide up to open control centre.

2. Press Airplay

3. Choose the Airplay device

4. Press Done

5. Slide down or press home button to close control centre

IOS6:

1. Press Airplay symbol in music app

2. Choose Airplay device

This change is not really understandable, especially considering that this funtion obviously is used often and where in Videos playback the button still exists!

This is a step back!

And a bug: When using the music app in portrait mode, then opening control centre (which is correctly in portrait mode too) then pressing airplay, the new airplay menu opens in landscape mode!

Please go back to having the Airplay symbol button next to the controls (previous, play, next) like before! Also on the lock screen.

Or maybe i was missing something here?

Thanks

The NEW IOS7 interface keeps track of how many other places a MUSIC device is connected on with bluetooth (depends on bluetooth device settings more than IOS). Some MUSIC devices can only be attached to ONE IOS7 pairing -- however, if it is PHONE it can attach to many places.

Try this -- power OFF bluetooth on all other devices in the vincinity where you use the MUSIC device. link the IOS7 iphone or ipad with the MUSIC device (in my case it was the S11) play a song and swipe UP to open the connection center. The device will show NEXT to the airdrop (the band will split). click on the MUSIC device and see the other options for speaker play. Here is a Motorola S11 HD Stereo Flex bluetooth headset -- that connected to the iphone5 first and can't be used also on the ipad for playback of music until bluetooth on the iphone is turned OFF. The odd thing in IOS7 is I can play a song (MUSIC) and take a call (PHONE mode).

CLICK on the AIRPLAY button on right and get the list of paired devices:

Note: I'm at IOS 7.0.2

Message was edited by: cold_surfer2 added IOS level and clarified the device control over how many places for pairing. Only ONE music pairing is allowed and multiple PHONE pairings when using iphone5, ipad3, and S11 Motorola. Carefully read the user MANUAL for the device being paired -- they will explain the limitations better. IOS7 isn't as limited as I initially thought --> it was the DEVICE !!!!

I use the feature a lot. First I thought that this is a bug since all other apps has the airplay button as before, and it is only missing from the Music app. Now I know it is a 'feature', but this is definitely a bad user experience. I appreciate that it is now can be accessed on the Control Center, but people go to the Music app first then switch around on the airplay destinations, not the other way around. Please add the airplay button back to the Music app. Thanks.

Yes! It's very annoying! I have the airplay in several rooms including a stereo in the backyard. It used to be easy to switch airplay stereos!!!! It's still easily done with YouTube and other apps!!! Why can't apple leave a good thing alone? I'm really not liking the entire music app with the white bland background and smaller artwork! Not to mention dropping the cover flow! This new version is a complete mess!

I have bean working with PC mostly windows my whole life,

-yes professional level (my work)

As age goes and my hair goes grayer and look pail, just as the new iOS 7 interface..

So with age times go more of concern, going to iPhone was a easy decision sines I can let the manual be left in the box, no more forum thread like this to to answer things I need to use the phone!

But let me in on a secret Apple.

I have always admire the simplicity in using your Product!

The whole market has to learn from you on this area.

Keep it simple! The competitor has a new thing you don't, fine, who care!

You have quality thru the whole Product. And most off all:

-Self explaining easy to use interface-

If you are lost,,, lock at symbol.

I know demand grows all the time...

But your job is to keep it simple as taking a bite in a apple, and feel the sweetness coming!

-Amen-

I have the same frustration. Also, I can't seem to access the control center while in the music app - it jsut won't slide up. (I'm on a 4s.) So I have to make the additional steps of exiting the music app so that I can access control center from the home screen, then get back into the music app. So I have 7 steps to make (rather than the 5 that that Rallig listed) as opposed to 2 steps in ios6. So frustrating!!!
