Software Update Failed: An error occurred whilst downloading iOS 7.0."

Tried three times and three HOURS later, ON eACH Occassion!!:

"Software Update Failed: An Error Occurred whilst downloading iOS 7"

I am in South Africa

iPhone 4S, iOS 6.0.1

This is probably mainly due to the amount of people trying to update and clogging up the servers. You should be able to update to iOS 7 via iTunes without difficultly or just be patient and wait it out to be able to update over the air although this may be a matter of hours / days to be able to do so.

I tried again this morning, and tried via ITunes and it indicated it will take 13-15Hours?

Is that correct, 13 - 15hours??? -

How long will it take to UPDATE, AFTER SPENDING LAST NIGHT ALMOST 6 Hours.

Hey there,

As Sneaky_Mouse suggested the best option is atm iTunes. Servers are probably going crayze.

If you cannot do it like that as well you can look for an iOS 7 ipsw (image file) and then, hold down either Option or Shift (on a Mac or Windows PC) and click Update; this will allow you to select the ipsw image.
