I complained to Google. I went to their site and I looked at the help section. They had a survey so I stated this information was not useful or complete. I stated that they needed to add information on how to fix the crashing of this app since the update to ISO7.

WORK AROUND to problem.

I manually went to google.com and to the webpage of google translate.

I then added that page to my iPhone desktop as a shortcut.

So at least I have the ability to translation.

Disaster of disasters! It crashes the web-based google translate, in safari ios7 on an ipad. I never use the ap,because it is so inferior to the web based version. I have been using it every day almost all day long, so this is a big deal.

The web based version of google translate will not work on a ipad in safari ios7..at all.

This upgrade seems not to have been very ipad centric. I must have web-based google translate, and they killed it.

There is a problem with Safari in IOS 7 that is easy to reproduce. As soon as a javascript needs more than 5Mb for internal data storage it hits a virtual wall and crashes. Apple should know about it (I reported a bug). Many other webdevelopers must have ran into it (I assume this is why Google changed their image search back to a very basic interface).
