Sep 19, 2013 4:44 AM in response to CarmVby thomas_r.,Time to try a different keyboard, then. Also, try the problematic keyboard with a different computer and see if the problem follows the keyboard.

Sep 19, 2013 5:06 AM in response to thomas_r.by CarmV,I tried the keyboard on another imac and the bluetooth setup connected to the keyboard for a while but then lost the connection, and then "no found keyboard status appeared". Maybe I really need to replace the keyboard. I think I can still have it replaced as it is still warranty-covered.

Sep 19, 2013 5:12 AM in response to CarmVby thomas_r.,Yup, if there are fresh batteries in that keyboard, that definitely sounds like a problem with the keyboard.

Sep 19, 2013 5:17 AM in response to CarmVby Ralph Landry1,Thomas is probably right that the keyboard itself has a problem, but one more thing to try, in addition to another set of new batteries since a couple users have found "new" batteries are not always what they are supposed to be...turn the keyboard off, remove the batteries, then start typing and pressing keys...place your hand flat on the keys and just randomly press all over the keyboard. After doing this for 5-10 minutes, reinstall fresh batteries and try the keyboard with the computer. Sometimes this procedure will discharge the capacitance switches used for the keys and they will start working correctly again.

Sep 19, 2013 7:21 AM in response to CarmVby Ralph Landry1,In that case, it would be good to take the keyboard to an Apple store genius bar and have the techs test it, or they may just say it needs to be replaced. If it is under warranty they should handle it on the spot for you.
