Also having this problem but with Win 7 Pro 64-bit and Outlook 2013. During the iCloud 3 installation (which took forever to download a few MB update by the way), there was some problem with a signature or something? I ran the repair on the iCloud install but it didn't work. Outlook automatically disables it and I can use Outlook just fine. Had no problems with iCloud with the previous version. I'm going to try to find the old version and reinstall that.

For the record, here's what Microsoft spits out when Outlook crashes:

I posted yesterday that iCloud 3.0 was causing Outlook 2010 to crash and therefore I couldn't use it. I have found a workaround.

Do not use iCloud 3.0! Instead simply make an account at Outlook.com. You will have to install the Oultook Connector to connect Outlook.com to your Outlook installation on your computer.

Once you do this, simply add your account to your iPhone / iPad and you will have the two synced.

Solved the problem. Problem originally started by upgrading from version 2 to version 3.0 via Apple Software Update. Was finally able to download version 3.0 from the Apple support site. Uninstalled and reinstalled from the download and all good.

I think the problem could have been related to the heavy load on the apple servers on the first day of the release of iOS 7.

I am having the same problem. Outlook 2007 will not load after iCloud Control Panel update. Windows 7 Pro 64bit. Outlook message says to disable the iCloud add-in. Outlook works fine after iCloud add-in was disabled. I uninstalled iCloud Control Panel, downloaded 3.0 from Apple web site, Installed it, Outlook still crashes on startup with same message. Any fix yet?

My addin got disabled, I have found the answer at

http://www.slipstick.com/outlook/icloud-outlook-problems-syncing-contacts/

I followed instruction and it seemed to have worked.

I have Windows 7, Outlook 2007, have recently updated my OS on my iPad and sync Outlook with my Nokia, I use iCloud to sync with my iPad.

Hope this helps, I do not think it is usefull to go backwards.

Hi everyone. I have been working this same problem for some time now. This PC is Win8 with MS Outlook 2010. After repeatedly repairing and reinstalling the iCloud Control Panel - you'd think I would have realized this approach wasn't going to work. Finally I did!

To fix the problem, uncheck all iCloud selections, Remove all iCloud references in Outlook and then enable iCloud mail. Later you can enable Books and Photos.

More explicitly;

  • In the iCloud Control Panel uncheck Mail Book and Photos
  • Click Apply and then click Close.
  • Next open MS Outlook
  • Go to Outlook Account Settings, remove all references to iCloud.
  • Close Outlook.
  • Reopen the iCloud Control Panel, nothing should be checked.
  • Check “Mail, Contacts, ...”
  • Click apply
  • iCloud started configuring Outlook. J

Hope this works for you.
