lost apps after updating to ios 7

Hi

I have just recently upgraded my IPhone 4s to the new IOS 7 system. After installation i realised that all of my apps were gone off the phone. I did back my phone up before upgrading last night so is it just a case of plugging my phone into I-Tunes and re-installing the apps that way again?. Thanks in advance for your help 🙂.

Backing up your iPhone does not save your apps aswel. This is done through a transfer of purchases and will only happen in the process during a back up if you have already authorised iTunes on your computer. If they have not been trasnferred then they will not be on iTunes on your computer which would require you to redownload them again.

Try plugging in your iPhone and checking iTunes to see if they were transferred and if they were sync them back to the iPhone.

OK I just upgraded from the 4 to the 5s and lost all my apps. (I also lost my shared picture albums but have all my original picture albums - tbh those were a pain in the *** because I couldn't figure out how to delete them) ANYWAY Ihave a PC so this is what I did in itunes:

Sign in > Itunes store > purchased > apps > download all > sync

That all said, Itunes is not very intuitive and if apple should spend that huge pile of money they have accumulated on anything it is the user friendliness of itunes not on stock buy backs. Stay cool Apple. The iphone is an elegant and simple tune that prides itself on usefullness. Stay true to your vision.
