    Well Facing the same problem after updating all the apps to make them iOS 7 compliant.


    The worst is the phone appears to be normal like the network and 3G (while not on wifi) but the phone is freezed in terms of one cannot make or receive any calls / messages / or use the internet on 3G. I have been restarting the phone 2 to 5 times daily.


    Have tried resetting the phone today. Fingers crossed. Else time to replace Apple.

    Apple should have fixed this by now.. Every 2-3 days 2-3 restarts... Its annoying when you are amidst something important..


    Waiting for the fix to this issue.. Caused after I upgraded to iOS7 on my iPhone5..

    everyone listen up, since apple has a crappy 1 year manufacturing warranty, go check with your wireless carrier to see if they have any sort of extended warranty on the products they sell (assuming you bought the phone from the carrier and not from an apple store, then you might be on your own) some carriers have like an extended warranty that they offer to customers, or they are some times more leanient on the rules for fixing out of warranty phones

    I have the same problem with 2 devices ( iphone 4s & 5s ) . My problem is if i get a missed call and i didn't answer. all device hanging . i can't unlock the sceen all i have to do is to Reboot the device. I do everything ( restore from backup , restore as a new iphone ) all things i did but the problem still shall anyone from apple feed us back the source of this problem as its a software problem, And are they going to solve this soon ???????????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! as i become hate iphone and alot of my friends too

    I updated my iPhone 5 to iOS 7.04 and immediately had this same problem.  My phone is outside the 1 year factory warranty so Apple is quick to quote you prices to fix their software glitch.  So kudos to you that got your phone replaced within the 1 year warranty period because they want to charge $269 to replace the phone.  The phone worked absolutely fine before the update.  Now the phone randomly freezes and a white background with a black apple symbol appear.  The phone appears to reboot and the screen fades out and reappears several times, occassionally as it fades away you can see lines of black or boxes of blue.  Eventually after several minutes the device restarts and functions normally.  I have tried all suggestions given, Restore from backup, restore as new, even restored in the apple store as new because they had no other solutions to offer.  Do they not read the forums and see this forum is 6 months old with no answers?  I have turned on reduce motion, turned off refresh background app, and none of these changes have helped.  I wish there were an answer because certainly Apple is quick to blame a phone and want to charge you for something that happened immediately upon updating to their glitchy software.

    Hey everyone! I have a 4s and had really bad freezing and restarting problems with 7.0.4. I tried all the fixes on here to no avail. But I just updated my itunes on the computer, ran a restore and it updated my phone to 7.0.6. Now my phone is running flawless.... THought I would let everyone know, it looks like there is an update now.

    It is a miracle (what Mlind13 reports)! Apple is now able to fix a "hardware" problem with an OS update. Wish they had invented that miracle before they made me pay for a new phone.

    I am having the same issue on iOS 7.0.4 on my iPhone 4s. The phone freezes on the lock screen and I have to reboot it to get it working again. I have an issue with the bluetooth connectivity as well. Even though the bluetooth device is not connected sometimes when I get a call, I cannot hear on the phone as the display shows that it is connected to the bluetooth device.

    Mahabeer, note that MLind13 says he solved his problems by updating to 7.0.6. Actually he did it by running "restore" out of iTunes.

    I bought a iphone 5s in December 2013, from the first day, the iphone resets itself using any application. The reset took about 5 seconds, and after that worked fine. There were days that ocurred between 20 and 25 times, and others no more than 1 or 2 times.


    After installing iOS 7.0.6, the resetting has become the touchscreen sometimes doesn't work.The iphone only responds when you touch physical buttons (home, power or volume), touchscreen is dead. This happens until you reset it, or you press the power button to go to lock screen. Once done, it works fine until the next freeze.

    Now, is restored to the iOs 7.1 (official version without any backup of my data) and still doesn't work, reproducing sometimes the same frozen.

    I sent to repair the iphone to AppleCare with videos inside demonstrating the problem, but they returned me, the iphone is right for them. AppleCare doesn't help me, and I have a phone that doesn't work. The phone is 3 months old, and cost me 699€ (europe price) .

    I need a solution from Apple, what can i do?

    I was hoping someone had an asnswer for this issue.  From what I've read, the issue has different symptoms across users.  For me, the phone freezes to the point of not being usable while I'm connected to my home WiFi.  Sometimes it will freeze and then start working.  Most of the time it freezes and requires a forced reboot.  It's happening so often now that I'm seriously considering giving up my iphone for something else.
