Sep 30, 2013 2:21 PM in response to modular747by christianfromhessen,How should this be helpfull?
@Gokhan03
- you can tap the sleep / wake button twice fast to decline an incoming call
- It is confusing the first time, thats true
- After i Restore my iPhone through iTunes (Backup first!) it got better but still way behind iOS 6
I and many others wrote to Apple about iOS 7. To do so go to www.apple.com/feedback

I am running 7.0.3 and there is no decline button. Just tried it. Do YOU actually have IOS 7?

Sep 30, 2013 2:49 PM in response to AntonLargiaderby modular747,"I am running iOS 7.0.3". In what universe? The rest of us are restricted to 7.0.2....
In my iOS 7.0.2, as well as 7.0.1, 7.0, and all beta versions, there is a bright fluorescent orange "Decline" button to the right of the green "Accept" button on the bottom of the call receive screen. Maybe in your dimension it fails to appear.

Sep 30, 2013 3:07 PM in response to AntonLargiaderby Major_Tom007,AntonLargiader is right. I have an iphone4 running ios7.0.2 and there is no decline button for incoming calls. I have the green answer bar, a message button and a remind me button. Here is a link to the post that discusses this topic: https://discussions.apple.com/thread/5358487?start=0&tstart=0. It seems to be a software glitch.

Sep 30, 2013 3:06 PM in response to viperman17by latkah11,This is such a horrible version. Why would Apple turn everything to gray and white? Would you go back to a black and white TV? The icons look like a child made them. Any word if they are going to do anything about this?

Sep 30, 2013 3:08 PM in response to modular747by AntonLargiader,Sorry, still 7.0. Thought I had accepted a recent upgrade but hadn't.
However, from sleep (dark screen) my iPhone 5 does not display a Decline button. On top there is a pale gray button for Remind me (***?) and one for "Message", and underneath is the bright green with illegible pulsating razor-thin white type saying Slide to Answer. No bright fluorescent orange button.
If the phone is awake, there is totally different screen which has a red Decline button in addition to the green Answer button. And hallelujah! The text does not pulsate!! But that is not how my phone normally is when answered. For me, with my normally-sleeping phone, there is no Decline button.
Try it yourself. I did.

Sep 30, 2013 3:10 PM in response to viperman17by ziggy925,Okay, guys. I'm outta here, but it has been entertaining (turned off notification for this thread). My observations are, other than alredy noted, the original post was answered on about the third post. After that it's been nothing but complaints -- along with a few good laughs.
I think those of you who believe Apple didn't really give you an opportunity to see the OS before downloading it are correct. There is nothing like sitting on your couch with the device in your hand compared to seeing it in a demo on a big screen or the net. it's not really the same. ****, after seeing the rollout I couldn't wait to download it, not realizing that the whiter than white backgrounds would be "that" terrible, or that I would have to get the Chrome app to enjoy surfing the net on my phone again.
As for this thread, most of you are jumping in with comments who have not really read all the posts. Some of your problems have already been answered here, but it's easier to jump in and ask where the list view on the calendar went, waiting for an answer that has already been posted. Also, as I've previously stated, there are lots of answers all over the net outside of this thread. Seek and ye shall find.
I keep comparing iOS 7 to Windows 8. While I know Windows 8 is a great operating system, the asthetics are terrible IMHO, the same as iOS 7. I'll stick with Windows 7, thank you very much, but I'm just going to have to learn to live with Apple's new OS.
Am I going to get a new phone? No. Much like a model I dated, looks aren't everything and can lead you down a very bad path. I'll stick wtih the iPhone for now. For goodness sake, it's only a phone. I can live with it being a little slower, and if you look back through these posts you'll find I've worked my way around most of the problems I downloaded. Even my battery life is back up to normal.
I may come back for a visit, but in the meantime I'll just be patient and wait for 7.1.0, which I'm sure is coming.
Oh, yeah. I also own Apple stock. I sold half my shares when it topped and I still have a healthy profit in the shares I have left. It went up based on hype and was held up based on hype, and I'm not sure if the stock price has any relation to how well the complany is doing or how investors are playing it. Remember the last tech boom?
Have fun and try to relax.

Sep 30, 2013 3:10 PM in response to Major_Tom007by modular747,When the phone is unlocked when the call comes in there IS a decline button so that you don't have to press the lock button to decline (locking the phone).
I agree that Apple was too generous in their IQ assessment of users needed the understanding that the Remind button replaced decline.

Sep 30, 2013 4:27 PM in response to viperman17by Major_Tom007,I woke up and thought someone stole my iphone, but then realized it was just the ui that they stole!

Remind and Decline are two different words with different meanings. If you're saying that this is Apple's new version of 'so intuitive we don't have to explain it' then sadly, I agree with you.
EDIT: However, your premise is simply wrong from the beginning, because the other screen shows both the Remind AND Decline buttons... so let's hear your reassessment of that IQ thing.

Sep 30, 2013 5:35 PM in response to calebfromnashvilleby uniqueamoeba, restoring backup will not bring back iOS 6.xx

Sep 30, 2013 5:38 PM in response to AntonLargiaderby Badger3k,Even then, if I'm declining to answer a call, what the heck makes them think I'm going to call them back. Why should I be bothered by an alert to call back something or someone I don't want to call? Hopefully, my phone will work the same - if I don't want to answer it I just hit the power button to turn off my screen and ignore it.
-
Sep 30, 2013 5:41 PM in response to AntonLargiaderby modular747,Well, what else could "remind" possibly mean in the context of answering a call. If you accept the call, there is nothing to remind you about. Remind ADDS the option of getting a reminder to call back, rather than just ignoring th call.
Of course, not even Apple would expect anyone to actually read the user guide, right? Everyone knows that there is a 140 character attention span limit in this idiocracy.

Oct 1, 2013 8:13 AM in response to viperman17by uniqueamoeba, quite simply, as apple customer support has verified, you can't. even if you made a backup of your phone before upgrading (if you can call it that), you cannot revert to iOS 6.
