When the phone is unlocked when the call comes in there IS a decline button so that you don't have to press the lock button to decline (locking the phone).

I agree that Apple was too generous in their IQ assessment of users needed the understanding that the Remind button replaced decline.

Ok you are right here too. Just checked both locked and unlocked.

As already pointed out, the "Remind Me" button is the decline button when receiving call in lock mode. It immediately declines the call and adds the option of setting up an entry in the Reminders app to call back (which can be cancelled or ignored)

When the phone is open, the call receive screen does show a hard to miss "Decline" button.

If you read my last post. I said you were correct. Thanks for calling me out like that. No wonder people are so rude to you.

My, my, you are sensitive...  My last message crossed with your's and I hadn't read it before posting. Sorry if you were offended.

No wonder people are so rude to you.

That "people" would be you. You didn't bother reading a series of my posts discussing the decline and remind me buttons posted several hours before  your "no decline button" post.  Learn some forum etiquette, and maybe you won't be ignored so much.

I have managed to persuade Apple to let me exchange my OS7-ruined iPhone and iPad for recondtioned units with OS6.1.3 still on them. I argued that they had removed a key feature without warning in the upgrade - this being the Photo-Map in the Photo App. Thread here on it:

    https://discussions.apple.com/thread/5372409

Maybe if enough people insist on reconditioned units they might eventually allow the downgrade again.

Well if you are happy then keep it that way. You won't probably be able to update a lot of your apps soon so don't complain about the features we have in iOS 7 ever again.

My favorite feature of iOS 7 is being able to point out to others that if this operating system where installed on a piece of hardward that said "SAMSUNG" on the back of it, you and every other hardcore iOS enthusiast would proclaim it to be junk - and you'd be right.  I see things for what they are.  BlackBerry has good features, Android has good features, iOS has good features.  What has happened here is that what drew many people to iOS over the last 6 years has been stripped away and has left people clinging to a brand they love when it is so obvious to many others that damage has been done. I've used an iPhone for a month and see what has happened for what it is without loyalty.  I realize that you and a lot of other enthusiast posters have a lot of personal effort invested in the brand, I suspect many are very conflicted about what is obvious - whether they admit it or not.

LOL!  Great way to show why ios 7 is so horrible for visually impaired people. Especially since most of us can barely read the 1st and 2nd lines of the chart with the big bold letters!  And for those comparing the hoopla over Maps vs the hoopla over ios 7 that is like comparing apples to oranges.  Maps was an app that you may or may not use.  Ios 7 is an operating system that once downloaded you have to use.  Big difference.  And it's not useable to most visually impaired people because they can't read ANYTHING on the screen.  And voice over doesn't always work correctly either.

I have the same problem I wish I can go back to iOS 6 to my 5S gets here. My 4S must not be strong enough to handle all the new upgrades in the operating system.

    Hi irishelf,

Of all of the issues that people have been reporting about iOS 7 (most of them NOT issues - just ceaseless whining), the issue for vision impaired folks seems to me to be the most legitimate and most ciritical of them.

Yes, the valid issues with Activiation and Wifi are also right up there, but the vision impaired issues renders the phone unusable in every possible way.

I'm hoping that this is being looked at and remedied in short order....

I, personally am not vision impaired, but I sympathize with those folks who are....

    Cheers,

    GB

Even if just "ceaseless whining" Apple should allow people to go back to OS6 if they prefer it. They bought phones with OS6 on it - why should they be forced to accept a change they don't like? It is the equivalent of somebody taking their black Mercedes into service and having it returned resprayed bright pink.

I have just updated my ipad to iOS7. My ipad is now useless. I'm going to put it in drawer for 2 weeks, and use PC instead. I'm going to return it to Apple if they will not fix it.

Animations are terrible. Apps are crashing, Keyboard has lag as ****. Design is as 10 year old drawing.

I hate ios7 A LOT.  Nessessary changes include

IOS 7 is Definitely a downgrade on my iPad and my iPhone.

    Notes

-Missing lines, page color and font in notes make it hard to read, no longer a useful app. Now it looks like 10 others.

    E-mail

-number of emails in mail threads disappeared. The tinny tinny double chevron vs single  is practically invisible.

-Mail no longer has the heading on the top to tell me what mail box i am in.

    Phone

-After upgrade My phone txt started going out from my e-mail with no warning.

-Lost all my individual ring tones, after upgrade had to re do them all

    Home  screen

-Labels no longer fit under folders on home screen. Why?

-Background of folders on home screen make it hard to see

-It was un necessary to change the icons, i could quickly go to the old ones, why do have i to get used to the new ones?

    Overall

-Hate all the motion- the OS is not a video game

    -Old keyboard was much better

-Almost all the prompts and headings are too light and small. Yes i went into accessibility and made them bold, little help.

The only real improvement i have appreciated is having more space in folders.

I wish apple could make some changes optional.Forcing everyone to one way of doing things is ridiculous in this day and age.

If there are settings i missed  to fix any of this let me know.

Change for changes sake is ridiculous. Apple staff may be trendy, cutting edge, extremely bright  and have great eye site. But you want the rest of us to use your products also.

No one forced anyone into anything.  The update is optional, for now.

Also, when developers start updating their Apps to the point where iOS 7 is required, this will be a moot point.

Accept the reality of the situation, and move on.
