It runs on a 4/4S.  It runs better on a 5/5C/5S.  End of story.

If only Apple had left the UI of iOS 7 unchanged, we might have beat out Maps with all the wailing about how dead the iOS is, Apple has lost all innovation, with the "threats" to move to Android and dump Apple from their hedge funds. That would have crushed Maps!!

I,m told you can't. I've upgraded and wish I had left it alone, yes it looks naff. Apple can we at least have a use classic option as with Microsoft windows!

Hate iOS7. I have a 4 and my phone is now super slow. What a bummer. A phone that I loved so much is a complete dissapointment now. My keyboard freezes when I text. Soooooo frustrating. The design is horrible. Totally cheesy. I don't care "what's under the hood". My screen and it's ability to do what I want it to is most important to me.  Gonna have to say buh-buy to Apple soon

Try explaining your situation to your carrier. When I called my carrier they were aware of what is going on with ios7. It took me a few calls but they finally agreed to swap out my iphone4 running ios7 with a refurbished model running ios6. They couldn't be positive, but were pretty sure the refurbished model would have ios6 installed. It was sitting in their warehouse, so chances are it does. Worth a shot!

Too bad.....my 5 burns through its battery 2-3 times faster even with all recommended power saving settings- the proprietary software block to using aftermarket charging cables is B.S too! So much for the free market......

I totally agree.  Apple please give us loyal customers the option of downgrading or at least customizing ios 7 to be more like ios 6.  I can't stand the way I have to scroll through albums now either.  This is the first time that I have ever been disappointed with an apple device.
