I was looking through my phone earlier and noticed it is downloading ios7 without me even clicking on the update.I turned off my wifi so it would stop.

You should then disable auto-update in the Settings app. Otherwise it will try again.

Ironically today, Apple released iPhone 5c with the caption "For the colourful".  That's absolutely hilarious. After the pungent casing, it's nothing but white screen after white screen (oh, and can't forget the tinkling of baby blue.).

Welcome to the new world of bland.

Advising a person that disabling the autoupdate gives them the option of when to update is not rude.

I turn off auto-update for much of my software, and if I leave it enabled then it is my fault whe it downloads new versions by itself.

I've been a user of Apple products since the Apple II computer. As far as I am concerned, this IOS7 is the most disappointing thing Apple has ever developed and released. I have less than perfect eyesight. This update has transformed my perfectly useable iphone into a completely unusable, worthless electronic device of eyestrain and frustration. I have changed the fonts to bold and adjusted the contrast, etc. to no avail. I regret very much this update. Very frustrated that I cannot revert to the previous operating system. WHICH I COULD READ.

Since I am required to have a cell phone available to take calls at any moment for my business, Apple has inadvertently forced me into buying a phone from one of their competitors. TOMORROW.

    Totally disappointed and frustrated.

I was not addressing iOS7 directly.

I addressed the lack of wisdom in allowing a critical application to update/upgrade itself without user intervention.

BTW: apple/com/feedback if you have issues with an Apple product, as Apple does not count on this forum for its user feedback.

In settings, general, accessability, there is an option for bold text like they used to have.

As I wrote earlier, the te is nothing against the ios7 By itself.

I guess its the most outstanding operating  system to this days, but

The anger is related to the interface with humans having no clear buttons, readable notices or prompts.

Whatever Apple did behind the screen is surelly wonderfull, but friends, its uggly, disposable keyword, number keypad

Starting short cuts. Please try to see beyond Your nose.....

Thank you for the suggestion, calebfromnashville. Unfortunately, the setting you mentioned only affects a small percentage of the visible text. For example, the passcode screen and the telephone keypad are sadly unaffected. Kinda' hard to keep a phone that one cannot use as a phone. I simply cringe at the design of the keypad. Thank you, though, for the suggestion.

I agree! Believe it or not it's much worse on the iPad.  Blinding, small text.   The floating app icons on a large screen like an iPad makes one sea sick.  Please send your comment to Apple.com/feedback!

Why are you so defensive, seems people just want to vent their frustration with the new os. Chill and don't take the comments so personal.

Ranting is best done outside of forums where people ask technical questions.  Too much room is taken up by people threatening to move to Android devices but have no intent to actually do it.

If you think Apple has gone too far, you have the option to just change to Android and leave Apple forums clear.

Just how many super charged muscle cars sold that were hot Pink?...lol super charged or not we don't see many Pink corvettes, lime green poka dotted super charged cars.... the problem is the bright white and fonts reduce the functionality for some users...and since we paid for the phone we do have the right to complain about painting our car without permission.
