Oct 6, 2013 9:11 PM in response to gail from maineby zornie,Why does it have to be sync? With other systems, you can simply copy music and other files to a devcie. This solves tons of problems for users.
It would be really awesome if Apple developed some kind of 'iTunes server'. You access a server FROM your device (wirelessly) and grab files you want.

Oct 6, 2013 10:03 PM in response to gail from maineby zornie,If syncing was designed to make managing music on iPods and iPhones easier, it does not do its job very well. You have to admit that syncing only makes everything more complicated. Besides, everyone I know uses "manually manage" anyways.

Oct 7, 2013 4:55 AM in response to modular747by flibbertygibbet,As anyone who isn't bool sheeting will say, YOU have absolutelly documented statistics showing that "millions of people" had this problem, or even claimed to have it.
If you had even 6th grade reading comprehension skills, you would realize that what I said involved 2 phones and 3 people, not "single." Actually, I know at least 30 people who used the iPhone 4, in different areas of the country, using different carriers, and not a one had this problem.
Oh, get over yourself. 30 phones and slightly more than 30 people is still statistically insignificant, as I am sure you're well aware.
And do you REALLY believe that I don't have even 6th grade reading skills, or is that just for "comic effect"?
Look, I don't really care what you think, because you are not worth bothering about, being an arrogant boor who thinks it's a sign of intelligence to be rude and insulting. If you want to believe that you are SO much better than anyone else, you just carry on as you are; the rest of us are perfectly capable of judging you on the quality and tone of your postings, and let me tell you that you do not come out looking good...

I think that every time you post a reply, the email-notification setting gets changed back to "on"; you can change the default behaviour under your account settings....

Oct 7, 2013 6:31 AM in response to TJBUSMC1973by Lapina,TJBUSMC1973,
As I stated before, arrogance and insults towards real customers is NOT a real help for Apple brand.
Here is why :
When using a device, normal customers are often confusing between the OS ( features ) and the UI ( look ).
I, as many others here, we never asked Apple to get back to the old OS features --- but only the old UI look.
Is not so difficult to let customers choose a look !
Or .. Is it ?
The new pinky-baby-blue 1px tight lines of the ios7 is very hard to read --- especially for older persons. As for me, the new ios7 design and contrast makes me dizzy with a huge headache behind eyes. In addition to this, I get an immense nausea.
You always insulted customers who are suffering because of the new ios7 look with such an arrogance that you made a lot of us even more sick.
Do you feel so good to insult and bash real Apple customers ?
Bad news: many customers who "dare" to express their visual inconfort are located in democratic countries.
As for me, I am established in a democratic country where people can express their opinion in a civilized manner, without a gun show. This country is Switzerland. And my wife is from Belgium, where voting in mandatory.
Both Switzerland and Belgium have 3 mandatory official "native" languages.
Using different languages is "opening" the mind to different cultures ... without having to kill...
Older with 1973 year in the nickname, and such disrespect ?
Reading your posts, you seem younger and more jouvenile than your math... But I am impressed on how effective the Marine Corps is educating troops on "volunteering with disrespect". Well, in Switzerland and Belgium we politelly volunteer and help children and old persons in need for a decent care. Different education...
Going to a Doctor because of a bad designed user interface ?
Thank you to worry for us, but many customers here do not have special needs like a semi-retired from the Marine Corp.
Pre-retired and financially secured ?
Thanks to you, I get an explanation to the US govt. "shutdown" and the huge debt. No offense, but you beat even the French with such early retirement age !
My childhood ?
Very kind of you to worry about. I have a lot of nice memories from my childhood ( including child war games with plastic guns ) but me, I managed to become a mature adult.
And you know, is not a bad thing to use as we wish one of the 3 official "native" languages in Switzerland + 2 "native" european languages of my parents + some basic notions in English or ... the 4th official language in Switzerland + the 4 known languages of my Belgium wife. THIS is a whole language arsenal. ;-)
Those language skills, in addition to the financial wealth of our parents (* they established in Switzerland just like Tina Turner and other did because of the Lump-Sum Taxation system ) and the Swiss red passport is helping more than a gun. For instance, we can travel safely.
;-)
You see, we do not have special needs ! We can even walk safely throught the town and visit many countries without having an army of bodyguards behind us...
Meanwhile ...
Saturday I fully solved my ios7 user interface problem on my smartphone. ;-))))
Not with a doctor, but with a polite salesman. No nausea and my view is improved with a much bigger phone screen.
By the way, I am not the richest person in Switzerland, but I am sufficient wealthy to purchase in cash the whole Apple's inventory from the whole country for the next 2 years, if I want to. For me it is something like the equivalent of only 2 days income. But ... you correct, I am an abnormal idiot customer because I feel so sick with the new ios7 user interface.
BIG. BIG MISTAKE. HUGE.
This was my "Pretty Customer" moment.
So don't bother to reply, I unsubscribed.
Have a nice and productive week ! You are doing an excellent job in bashing and humiliating real Apple's customers. Even the competition can't do a better job.

Wow, that is really sad. Apple only gives Switzerland 2 phones every 2 year. Who knew. Thanks for the update.
If you are so flushed with cash why not just purchase an iPhone 5 that has been in Switzerland's inventory and has not been updated. Surely you have enough cash to purchase a phone on eBay. Or fly to the US in your own private 747 and pick up a phone at a local US store.

Why is it that you think that anyone who disagrees with your eccentric views has a low IQ or is lacking in basic statistical knowledge? Possibly your own brain cell distribution is badly skewed or the cells simply suffering from linear regression.
modular747 wrote:
It was irrefutably proven than you had to bridge the antenna gap with a good deal of effort ("death grip") to cause this problem and even a gibbon could learn to hold the phone without losing signal and needing a case. I guess you never figured it out.
modular747 wrote:
I did err in my last post where I said "even a gibbon can learn to hold the phone without losing signal." I should have said marmoset. Maybe you can aspire to that. .
What's with the ape/monkey fixation you seem to suffer from? Gibbons (lesser ape) have opposable thumbs, are extremely dexterous and large enough to carry out the purported death grip you so elegantly describe. Marmosets, on the other hand, are small monkeys only 8 inches long with claws and are completely incapable of carrying out the task. Don’t you ever get anything right?
Where do you rank on the sad, sycophantic toadies chain of command? TJBUSMC1973 is served coffee by tadpoles, whereas you only seem to have Amoeba to laugh at your so called witticisms, maybe a toadlet. If so, remember to drink lots of water, they dehydrate easily. Apologies for the social slight if you are in fact King Toad and very well done to you, but please remind your loveable followers that this is a discussion forum and not the Apple Technical Help website, the toadies all seem to have delusions of grandeur.
I’ll take the liberty of précising some of your outrageous views: -.
• There were only minor inherent technical problems regarding the initial launch of the iPhone 4.
• Apples subsequent decision to spend a fortune on cases/bumpers to resolve the issue was due to a Korean inspired conspiracy carried out on American television.
• The furore following the release of IOS 7 is mainly down to trolls, shills and uber-entitled and not due to legitimate complaints from Apple customers regarding poor design.
• You have a daughter old enough to operate an iPhone.
I don’t think there’s any need for me to comment individually on the first three bullet points, anyone with an ounce of common sense can quickly ascertain the truth. I find the fourth most surprising, I had incorrectly marked you down as an arrogant, ill-mannered, bullying, teenage lout but perhaps you’ve been abducted by aliens at some time or simply forget to take your medication. If you contact TJBUSMC1973, I’m sure his shrink could arrange an anger management group discount. (I’d mention the monkeys too).
Sorry but got to fly: busy, busy, busy and business empires don’t run themselves you know. See you all at the launch of IOS 8.

The point is that there are new statistics as you claim....
being an arrogant boor who thinks it's a sign of intelligence to be rude and insulting
Nope. It's that I have no tolerance bs'ers such as yourself. You entered this thread to not to add anything, but to attack one of my posts addressed to someone else with with scripted fabrications and distortions.
And do you REALLY believe that I don't have even 6th grade reading skills, or is that just for "comic effect"?
Yep. I REALLY do, if you REALLY comprehended that I was discussing a "single" instance in that post.
the rest of us are perfectly capable of judging you on the quality and tone of your postings, and let me tell you that you do not come out looking good...
What "us'? This is all about YOU, and you speak for no one. The perceptions and judgements of ignorant liars is about as inconsequential as it gets.
