Is Apple iOS7 turning in Windows?

No, not even close to a windows dump.

Try a reset: Simultaneously hold down the Home and On buttons until the device shuts down. Ignore the off slider if it appears. Once shut down is complete, if it doesn't restart on it own, turn the device back on using the On button. In some cases it also helps to double click the Home button and close all apps BEFORE doing the reset.

Question is.. why should I do this? It was suposed to be an Apple, not a 'restart' device like Windows based ones.

Why would you do it? Because it could very well resolve your issue. If that is why you are here. Otherwise, perhaps you should find another venue to whine.

It's become a great entertainment venue. I enjoy reading the latest whines and insults every day. It's also great fun to see posters scouring the Internet for negative links to support their bias. I love the attitudes and posturing, the threats, the predictions of doom if Apple doesn't cow-tow to their demands. It's better than going to a political website and watching the libs and teabaggers go at it.

Yes the ipod app was removed, and because it was split in 2 means they are 2 different apps. The ipod app managed both music and videos in the same app, it made perfect sense. I challange you to create a video playlist right on the device, or in itunes for that matter and transfer it to the device, You can not do this any longer, which translates to previous features being removed, a downgrade in my opinion. As for Apple not participating in discussions it doesnt surprise me.

I agree but what I find to be so sad is so many actually believe this drival that is being spouted here.

Actually some of the exchanges are more akin to

    Ali vs. Frazier.

Also wonder how many ranters are just "instigators" and

don't really care about iOS7 or even have an iOS device.

Anyway, it does get quite enternaining at times.  That's why

    I check it out daily.

I wonder too. So many of the ranters are first time joiners of the discussion forums. They claim to be long time Apple users but have never had the occasion to visit these forums until now. We know that Samsung got caught red-handed paying people to trash HTC in forums in Taiwan so it makes one wonder.

Even if you were talking to Apple here, what on earth makes you think they care a stuff about ANY customer, let alone you;-)

They've proved over and over again.... they will simply do what they believe will maximise profits.  They are no different to any multinational.

Its called greed;-)  Get use to it.  Its now the norm!

What crap response. I have been using Apple products for years. The IOS 7 interface and the bungled unintutive interface looks like the flavored iMacs I used to have to support at Apple Elk Grove. People have a perfect right to be upset at Apple about this comic book looking OS. Apple fianlly got away from OS 9 thinking and adopted the next system thinking. The really started getting education back and have made huge in-roads to geeting folks to use a system and then they bungle the job. So, yes, we as Apple users should be upset with Apple about this OS.

It does have some nice feature if you can find them, such as the airplay is on the control panel now and not in the application anymore. The calendar interface is a complete fools errand. It is funny that there isn't a community for iOS 7 folks, wonder what they would be like.....

Well, another point of view might be that they never needed to visit this forum until one of their devices was "upgraded" to iOS7...

Anyone who believes the negativity here with regards to iOS7 is some kind of Samsung-inspired campaign is just deluding themselves (it's called burying your head in the sand!)...

"We know that Samsung got caught red-handed paying people to trash HTC in forums in Taiwan so it makes one wonder."

I think the complaints being aired here are pretty easy to see for yourself if you have an IOS7 device (and an IOS6 one, or at least a good memory):

    - poor contrast

    - can't see where content is supposed to be

    - distracting animations that serve no purpose except to delay

    - missing animations where they were actually useful

    - extra steps needed to do common tasks

    - inconsistency throughout the interface

    - bugs

If Samsung or anyone else wants to add to the push, I welcome them! I can visualize all sorts of IOS7 parodies that Android could use in ads. Except they wouldn't need to be parodies; they could just be actual screenshots...

This may come as a shock .... but perhaps some people have slightly more fulfilling lives and have no desire to be on here all the time? Perhaps had they not had their devices messed about with they'd not be on here at all?
