Oct 13, 2013 5:45 PM in response to Patrick Miller2by modular747,You also solved the problem of having to decide whether to update the Android OS. The choice will forever be nothing available.
Anyone have a problem with that? I don't really care.
Whatever gave you the idea that anyone would have any interest in what you do, regarding anything at all?

totally unhappy with 4/7
who had to buy a new 4s/iOS6
and happy again to have his iPhone back
there is however an extra price to pay
the 7 update is waiting on your phone
and you lose 2,56Gb of memory
2nd line Apple support couldn't offer help
only made an official report
"client is highly inconvenienced..."
at least a different approach
than to just leave feedback

Oct 14, 2013 5:26 AM in response to Lawrence Finchby flibbertygibbet,Without more context, that's a meaningless point. Who's to say it wasn't a cheap 3rd party battery, which are notorious for exploding; there have been similar scares in thepast about Nokia phones, only for the culprit to have been found to be a cheapo, low-quality battery.
In response, I hope all you iPhone users are not killed by your phones; http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,2817,2421770,00.asp

Oct 14, 2013 6:08 AM in response to flibbertygibbetby JimHdk,Your article is from July. Investigation showed that the charger being used was not Apple's but rather a defective third-party charger.

Oct 14, 2013 8:04 AM in response to JimHdkby flibbertygibbet,And that was exactly my point.
It's easy to point the finger at a manufacturer when something happens, but quite often the truth is somewhat different.
It's not exactly clever when someone goes "enjoy your Android phone, because we all they know they catch fire", particularly when it's not based on any real evidence...

Oct 14, 2013 8:29 AM in response to flibbertygibbetby modular747,And that was exactly my point.
The point actually made was that your knee jerk defense of Samsung and retaliation against Apple revealed your true agenda here and likely your sponsor. You just couldn't stop yourself...
As a result of that incident, Apple is offering free OEM AC adaptors amd cables to replace knock-off's sold in China. It's also why iOS 7 rejects uncertified cables and docks.

Oct 14, 2013 8:47 AM in response to JimHdkby lkrupp,You know this thread is is dead when the last five pages consist of two users trading insults, and a self-styled poet writing bad Haiku. So much for the uninstall of iOS 7. Now back to the real world.

Oct 14, 2013 8:59 AM in response to lkruppby Lawrence Finch,The thread was dead before the first page was completed. Now it is just for amusement, and to keep the kooks, shills and trolls busy so they don't clutter up the threads addressing reai issues and problems.

Oct 14, 2013 2:09 PM in response to modular747by kb4200,You do realize when you have Android( if you aren't a low tech pleb ) it doesn't matter when the update comes. You can usually get an updated version quickly along with multiple choices to how the OS itself looks and works, iPhones aren't bad hardware but they are priced more than they should excluding maybe the 5s just because of the name behind it. The OS is far too locked down and Android offers a great solution to people who don't want to be told how and what their OS should be like. Don't bash something because you personally had a bad experience. I really dislike ios in general because of the way I use my phones, but I can still accept that until now it's been a really reliable OS.
