The logo - even when scaled to dimensions larger than life - seems anorexic.

Meganuts  be right about that. This is something that needs to be fixed.

The great majority of those complaining aren't visually impaired and dislike the colors and icon designs. Many of them will get used to it over time. The ones that wale about the "nightmare" of "childish" icons won't be missed - living in the real world must be torture for them.

Apple totally cheated and mis-guided iphone 4 & 4S users with ios 7 update...

Mr.Cook has really over cooked up Apple big time with bugs and totally disastarous ios7 application for iphone 4 & 4S...

We can only hope that they come up with the roll back option...

I think you may have hit the nail on the head. Indifference. It's a word that implies a significant meaning here. Nothing in our modern world, good or great, happened through indifference. One could say indifference comes from youth, or a person that has not formulated a life plan. In welsh me may call them "tup" if they have passed through the stage of youth and remained without opinion. Your comment may inadvertently be interpreted as a negative for Apple. My son bought me this iPad, Xmas 2012. He didn't buy it out of indifference but wanted me to share his enjoyment of using Apple. He knew I would never indulge or spend money on something so apparently frivolous when all my salary goes on guarding the family. I was overwhelmed by his gift.....I could go on, but anyway, it has become an invaluable tool for work and play and I still enjoy it but was very disappointed when things changed out of my control. I hope the metaphor of indifference proves not to be the first nail in the coffin.

For clarity I would regard someone who responds with "whatever" as indifferent or tup. My mother would describe them in mathematical terms as the lowest common denominator. I personally hope that Apple or their bean counters have not turned entirely to the lowest common denominator.

I am also quite disappointed with the new colors. I mean, one can argue that its a matter of personal taste whether you like rgb 0,255,0. But, to have such bright-colored UI elements (like the slider to accept calls) labelled in awfully thin white text, sorry Mr Ive, this is hardly readable – and thus I consider it poor design.

Besides I believe the flashy colors do not go well with the elegant dark metal parts of the case of the iPhone 5 and the non-colored iPhones 5s.

    Flat/minimal design:

Removing leather can be ok for me, as long as the result is still beautiful and understandable. I dont particularly need leather on the OS X calendar or in the iPhone notes app. But I think, it can only do good if a button has a visible 3D outline – to tell less-experienced users: hey its a button, you can press it. I would not sacrifice this opportunity. But maybe usabililty studies prove me wrong, I dont know.

Maybe it was necessary to make a huge visible change to showcase innovation. Certainly it is difficult to attract all groups of users at the same time.

Let's see what future will bring... I hope, at least some decent colors, giving us back an elegant Apple-like look.

My other beef with the sliders are that they don't slide! Apple added animation in useless places, but when you go to answer calls you can't tell if you actually 'grabbed' the slider or not. I swipe, stare at the phone for a moment to see if anything is going to happen, swipe again. I can't imagine why they thought taking the movement out of the slider was an improvement. in IOS 6 you can clearly see that you did or did not grab the sliders.

The sliding animation on the notifications, OTOH, works well.

And yes I did leave feedback about this.

I remember that happening to me as well. I think you just tap those, not slide.  That's the only thing I remember about ios7.  There were way too many on/off options.  I know people like choices but we didn't need all of that.  I just recall going in and turning as much "off" as possible.  My battery usage was terrible. I wasn't even averaging 5 hours most of the time on ios7.  And everything was as stripped as possible.  Can you tell me if the battery usage has gotten any better in the last few weeks? I can learn to live with a lot of the ios7 changes but not the battery problem.  I get 10-12 hours and 2-3 days standby presently on iOS6.

As you will with iOS 7 if you follow these simple recommendations.  They shouldn't be too much for you to handle:

If you are having problems with the animations and sliders, try doing a Reset All Settings reset.  You won't lose any data or content, but you will have to reset any settings you may have changed.  I did this on an iPhone 4, 4S and an iPad 2 and they all three work just fine.  I am sure if I had an iPhone 5/5S/5C or a newer iPad they would be even smoother than they are on my "old" hardware but I am very happy with the new OS.  In fact I am getting slightly better battery life on my phones than I did on iOS 6.X

Are you saying that the bright red "Slide to answer" from sleep is supposed to have swipe animation in 7.0.2? That would be great. Right now it pulsates (makes it even harder to read) but there is no swipe animation.

From sleep, you slide. From awake, you tap. The button and slider look basically the same so it's kind of hard to tell the difference until you learn it.

I think I saw some animation in it last time. The problem is that the text is already moving before the swipe, so the text moving during the swipe is more or less unnoticeable. Plus it's obscured by my finger.  All I know is that as a user, I simply can't tell if the slider is responding or not because it's just indistinct (surprise!).

Are you saying that the Phone App screen appearing, ringtone stopping, and the call connecting don't give you a clue that the call answer slider responded (or absence of these actions that it didn't respond)?

Eventually, yes, but those things don't happen immediately. My comment is about the slider, not the process of elimination by which you determine that the slide worked (or didn't).

Yes, they do happen near instantaneously. This is not a "process of elimination." The slider dissolves and the phone app screen appears immediately.  If you still see the slider, you immediately know it didn't function.

Seeing the slider slide has zero utility for answering phone calls.  There must be some other need it fulfills for you.
