Since the icons were on display for 3 months before iOS 7 was released, and icon appearance is such a high priority that it causes you pain, hard to understand why you updated.

No doubt, like many others, he/she assumed that Apple would continue making things better, not mess things up completely. Not a mistake that many will make in the future, but it's a bit too late for them this time round...

Don't forget, not everyone follows the tech press minutely, they just assume that their preferred manufacturer will make intelligent, consistent decisions, which has not proved to be the case on this occasion.

Any particular reason why you feel compelled to  answer for BTW55?  Do you share the same liver? Follow the same tired script from your Master?

Is BTW55 incapable of a rational response for the same reason that he/she considers icon design a source of pain?

I know a great deal of people using iOS 7, and not one finds the icons disturbing (if not brilliant) or more than a trivial aspect of the overall utility of the iOS.

Ah, the final defense!  The assumption!  Instead of taking ANY personal responsibility, let's just make assumptions, then blame our disappointment on the assumption.

If you pick up a glass of white liquid from the kitchen counter and drink it down, because you assumed it was skim milk (instead of asking the person that placed the glass on the counter), and discover, to your horror, that it is eggnog... Is it right to blame the other person?

    Of course it is!

    [/sarcasm]

This  moronic "assumption" premise has been repeatedly posted here and elsewhere, almost word for word identical,  and straight out of their Samsung script.

Picked up a tumbler filled almost to the brim of what I thought was water at a department function back in college. Took a big swallow. Did I mention I was a Russian major and that vodka has the word "water" in its name for a reason?

What, like the moronic "if it's critical of Apple it must have been written by Samsung" script?

Why can't you just accept that many users foolishly accepted the suggestion to update their device and are now bitterly regretting it? But you can't, because you think these people are either stupid or are lying, which says more about you than it does about them...

I pretty sure we all accept that. What most of us don't have is a whole lot of sympathy for the people who did make a foolish mistake (we all do that) but who are now blaming their mistake on Apple and ranting about it.

You have a solid case against the Russian language and culture for that, particularly since they didn't provide for removing the vodka in your body.

Agreed.  It's all about taking personal responsibility for your personal decisions.

What, like the moronic "if it's critical of Apple it must have been written by Samsung" script?

No, because it is moronically posted, word for word, by obvious drone identites who quickly disappear only to have "others" regurgitate the SOS.

But you can't, because you think these people are either stupid or are lying, which says more about you than it does about them...

Yet they actually are stupid or lying, and deserve no more consideration than that entails.  It says droves about you that you are compelled to defend and even speak for "these people."

In looking this over, BTW wasn't blaming Apple and didn't ask you for your opinion, Mod, so you should probably dial it down about slamming flibbertygibbit responding to your obviously passive-aggressive comment.

(yes, yes I know, everyone you've ever met in the history of the Universe loves iOS7, everyone's here's stupid and useless, blah blah blah...)

And please provide links to other posts in the forum that demonstrate the "word for word" responses that support your vapid conspiracy theories.

I don't know where you live, but where I live, every place that sells Apple devices still have ios 6 on them.  So even if you can get someone to get the device out from behind the locked glass case, you still cannot experience how ios 7 actually works.  Watching a video is not the same as actually testing the product.  It's like watching a video of a car test ride- it is NOT the same as actually test driving the car!  BTW, my niece(a teenager), who really wanted an ipad, now no longer wants one because she updated her iPhone to ios 7 and absolutely hates it.  So apparently, even people whom Apple is marketing to doesn't like it!  And saying people like ios 7 just because of the number of people who updated is absurd-that is like saying people loved a tv episode because so many people watched it.

No one has ever asked your opinion about anyting here, yet that hasn't stopped you from butting in with utterly useless comments.  When BTW said iOS 7 "changed my iPad to iPain". what do you think he meant by that? (Rhetorical question - no one is interested in what you think about anyting).

should probably dial it down about slamming flibbertygibbit responding to your obviously passive-aggressive comment.

Hmm, you clearly have no clue what "passive-aggressive" actually means.  Possibly you're regurgitating without comprehension something you've heard said around you, quite frequently.

(yes, yes I know, everyone you've ever met in the history of the Universe loves iOS7, everyone's here's stupid and useless, blah blah blah...)

More reading comprehension issues, eh?  What I said was I did't know anyone who considered icon design to be disturbing or more than trivial enough to be a real issue.  Probably a distinction beyond your capacity to comprehend

And please provide links to other posts in the forum that demonstrate the "word for word" responses that support your vapid conspiracy theories.

Just reading through this thread will reveal many, I wan't talking to you and have no reason to prove anthing to yet another profoundly useless Mr. Zero.
