Oct 24, 2013 9:46 AM in response to IdrisSeabrightby

There are no "mods" in this thread. We're all users, just like you.
Actually there are mods. But normally they only observe for failure to follow the forums guidelines. Try swearing at someone or taking a poll of some kind and see how quickly they delete your post.

Oct 24, 2013 1:10 PM in response to adamdavid80by Thom_D,I turned on the bold text and adjusted the size and it did make it worse for me too. So I just put it back to default and have learned to live with it.
Try using a different color wallpaper and see if that makes a difference for you. I use a kind of dark blue one and I have found it easier to read the text that way.
Doesn't make much difference within the apps themselves though.

Oct 24, 2013 1:19 PM in response to adamdavid80by modular747,Nonsense. The bold setting makes the font both black and much thicker. I know at least one legally blind person with 20/200 vision (corrected) who has no trouble with iOS 7.
It does call into question whether you ever used an iPhone. Your agenda here is not in question...

Oct 24, 2013 1:22 PM in response to modular747by Thom_D,I turned on the Bold setting and the color didnt' change, but the thickness of the letters did. The font color stayed white.
I think that the font color really has a lot to do with the color of the background that you use.

Oct 24, 2013 1:36 PM in response to modular747by adamdavid80,Uhh..yeah. I've used an iPhone for the past three years. Currently have a 5. Not sure where in the world you're going with that, or why you'd even go there.
The design has unquestionably changed. And it's a much more "stylized" look. As a result, opinions will be much more polarized. Some people think the only way to see a movie like Avatar is in the 3-D environment. Some just don't like 3-D and feel it's artificial and would sooner enjoy the 2-D experience. And some will wonder why anyone would even see the movie in the first place.

Oct 24, 2013 1:40 PM in response to modular747by adamdavid80,When I say "Made the problem worse" I mean the aesthetics of the design.
A (bad) analogy: Classic Coke is Classic Coke. Cherry Coke - though it may be largely the same, is a very different product and taste. Some will like it, some will like both, some will hate it.
Would you dismiss someone's opinion as "nonsense" because they prefer Classic Coke?

As a shareholder, I do NOT want the company bowing to pressure from uninformed and ignorant consumers that fail to understand the legal agreements they signed or the technological ramifications of a downgrade.
Wow...talk about a nasty, condesending, spiteful, malicious, and unempathetic comment. Most people fail to read in it's entirety any document in front of them they sign, whether it's an employment, security contract, or even cell phone contact. Just because something is in writing and you unknowingly agreed may be legal, it certainly doesn't necessarily make it ethical or moral. If you would've reworded your comment and only mentioned that it is common or customary not being able to downgrade with devices, you wouldn't come off as nothing more than hateful troll trying to provoke more attacks and attention to yourself.
I've already made those statements, in a polite manner. In reply, I get accused of being a 'fanboy' or a 'toady'.
I'm done with hand-holding. It's time for people to ACKNOWLEDGE their personal responsibility.

Oct 24, 2013 1:56 PM in response to adamdavid80by modular747,What was being discussed, and the only thing consequential was the readability if the fonts for the visually impaired, which is unequivocally helped with the bold font and text size settings. Your aesthetic assesment is irrelevent.

Oct 24, 2013 2:08 PM in response to modular747by adamdavid80,I find the design and it aesthetic difficult to read, to the point of nearly unreadable. I found it even more difficult and unenjoyable with the bold setting. I can't make the statement more clear - and relevant - than that.
Your example of your friend - I'm glad it worked for them. However, for others, the design is an eyesore and difficult to read. To say that the bold setting "unequivocally" fixes the problem is not the case.
Thanks.

Yes, there are the Hosts, but they rarely post outside of the Using Apple Supprt Communites forum. They are, indeed, very nice people. But they haven't the time to police threads. They review posts when they are notified of possible infractions. To date, none of them have posted in this thread though they have had to edit it from time to time.
Best of luck.
