Oct 27, 2013 11:52 AM in response to modular747by adamdavid80,Then you missed the point of my comment - it's for tech support, absolutely, and ideally would remain as such, but there's no need to insult and bash people from the convenience of a keyboard.
I'd like to think that you and I have discussed our differences in a mature, positive manner, for example.
Civility can still be the #1 form of discussion here.

Oct 27, 2013 11:55 AM in response to modular747by WDI,I could understand the bad feeling thing a little. It appears the iOS versions of the apps are only compatible with iOS 7 and if you share documents via iCloud with older devices that won't run iOS 7 these documents can no longer be opened on the iOS 6 version.

Oct 27, 2013 11:58 AM in response to modular747by adamdavid80,How so, you ask...by any chance, have you read through this thread?
Yes, they are selling, but they've also expanded to new markets. I'm curious to see how they're doing in the US.
Btw, Apple KNOWS they will sell "x" amount of iPhones and have iWork downloaded "x" number of times - but the point where it becomes a success is higher. Like The Rolling Stones - htey know a tour WILL sell 2 million tickets - but that 3 million - where you actually turn a profit - THAT'S the key.
Now, in fairness, yes, more and more people are becoming accustomed and adapting to the change...but to my earlier point, i"m hearing VERY little love at first sight with this. And love at first sight was something that apple has been VERY good at since the Think Different campaign and the first iMac launch.

Glad you saw the irony too.
It's been amusing to watch him (one poster in particular) berate someone in one post. Then the next one says, "this forum should not be used to express an opinion".

Oct 27, 2013 12:44 PM in response to flexmarketmanby modular747,As I said, everything since page one is violating the ToU. Since the Hosts have chosen not to enforce this, I am free to comment on the tactics of those who want to commandeer this thread and exclude anything not applebashing.
If you are left free to whine here, you have to take whatever reaction you get. What's amusing is that you find that amusing...

Oct 27, 2013 12:52 PM in response to modular747by adamdavid80,We are all "free" to make derogatory remarks and treat other with hostility. Whether or not that's a necessary, mature or admirable choice is another question.
I don't mean to single you out (you just happened to come forward stating your POV, which is to be commended): but all that will occur if someone is called a "whiner" or is treated in a way that would be unlikely to occur in a face to face conversation is that the provocation will result in escalation.
Forums are kinda "meant" to go into tangents anyway. There are plenty of Mac User Guides out there, where all the tech info is addressed. Conversations make for a more dynamic and (hopefully) enjoyable learning experience.

Not this one, regardless of whether you find that less "dynamic" or "enjoyable."

Do the terms of use actually read as you have stated below?
"Constructive feedback about product features is welcome as well."
Thanks in advance for any information.

The newest version of iOS iWork's/iLife apps are only available for iOS 7. Once you upgrade to the newest version of these apps and open up a document it can no longer be opened on the older version of the iWork's/iLife iOS apps running on iOS 6. You can not get the latest version of iOS iWork's/iLife for iOS 6. Not sure if I explained that very good.
But if you haven't upgraded to th latest version of iWork's/iLife on iOS 7 then they are still compatible with the versions on iOS 6.
Not sure if this is across the board for all the apps but I know for a fact with Numbers and GarageBand. I have a feeling it is like this across the board for all iWork's/iLife documents opened in the most up to date version only available to iOS 7 .

What did it say in the ToU I linked for you? The operative word being "constructive." You do understand the definition, right?
The ToU also states:
- do not add Submissions about nontechnical topics, including:
- Speculations or rumors about unannounced products.
- Discussions of Apple policies or procedures or speculation on Apple decisions.
That includes discussing Apple policy regarding downgrading the iOS.

I beleive you are correct. Any existing iWork files have to be updated to the latest version format.

Honestly, I have not read the terms of use. It seemed that you have more than a passing familiarity with the terms, so I thought I would just come straight out and ask. I underlined the word feedback because so many here seem categorically opposed to the existence of feedback in this forum. This seems incongruous, but such is life. Personally, the existence of feedback doesn't bother me. At this point, this thread has become a full-on conversation. As stated on the Apple Support Communities homepage, "Welcome. Join the conversation."
Also, I am not currently interested in downgrading my IOS. I have traded my 4S with the neighbor kid for his 3GS. I do, however, look forward to IOS8.

I don't see that at all. Maybe you consider saying that "iOS 7 s****" to be feedback,

Consistently, the most sensitive to criticism are those who want only to post negative, destructive remarks, when their often incorrect statements are challenged by others.

Oct 27, 2013 2:40 PM in response to viperman17by MLane777,Ok, it's clear there is no going back. I have bought the iPhone for my whole family and business since the first iPhone. I dropped the Blackberry and made the switch. Up until now, I have love the phone. I knew when Steve Jobs passed away, things would be different. I guess as the leading supplier and inventor of the "smart phone" you can only hold the title so long. I've enjoyed my many years with the iPhone and feel like it's been a great ride. I love my Macbook, Macbook air, MacPro and iPad Mini. Like I said, I switch my whole company to Apple and the iPhone. I don't really expect anyone to respond to this and I most likely won't even check if someone does. However, I feel I owe it to Apple to let them know I'm unhappy with the new OS7 and will be changing my supplier as my contacts run out.
Best of luck all.
