Oct 28, 2013 11:00 AM in response to WDIby adamdavid80,iWork's/iLife iOS 6 apps still work it's just that they will not open documents created in the latest version of the version of the apps only available on iOS 7.
So, what you're saying is...they don't work.

Oct 28, 2013 11:26 AM in response to adamdavid80by WDI,No, I was trying to clearify that you can still use the iOS 6 version. The only thing they can't do is open documents created in the latest version of the apps available only for iOS 7. This is a problem for sharing docs between versions which is a problem for me now because I have devices that will not run iOS 7.

Oct 28, 2013 11:31 AM in response to WDIby adamdavid80,Aha! Gotcha! Yes - that's exactly my problem as well - this is allvery loopy and inconsistent on Apple's part...I don't know what to expect next...but lately, it seems what to expect is some iOS version of an American Horror Story plotline.
Soon the killer duck will come and get me...

Oct 28, 2013 11:36 AM in response to viperman17by 570ad,Battery life on the iPhone 5S with iOS 7 builtin is not impressive either. You basically have to turn off many of the "new features" in order to last the whole day with your phone in a normal working day -- this was never an issue with my iPhone 4S running iOS 5 and then 6 later.

Here's something interesting. The guy they interviewed is the developer of the Riposte App, which says in the iTunes store : "Unapologetically requires a minimum of iOS 7".
If he hates iOS 7 so much, why require it for his App?

Oct 28, 2013 11:44 AM in response to TJBUSMC1973by adamdavid80,I chose the article because it seemed as objective as any out there. It wasn't out for blood on either side.
The article does go on to display a contradictory point of view, it's worth noting.

That's not troubleshooting. Try this:
- Restart the device. http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1430
- Reset the device. (Same article as above.)
- Reset All Settings (Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings)
- Restore from backup. http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1766 (If you don't have a backup, make one now, then skip to the next step.)
- Restore as new device. http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4137 For this step, do not re-download ANYTHING, and do not sign into your Apple ID.

Oct 28, 2013 11:58 AM in response to viperman17by Sierra Eklund, one of my friends went into apple and said her phone held charge for about 30 minutes and that she wanted the old version on her new iphone5s, so they gave her it back.

I highly doubt that an Apple store provided her iOS 6 on her iPhone 5S.

Oct 28, 2013 12:01 PM in response to TJBUSMC1973by 570ad,But... why would I need to troubleshoot a device right out of the box? That doesn't seem right.
I am making do with it and, again, I don't see the logic behind expecting someone to troubleshoot a brand new device that they just opened up.
Thanks anyways. Will keep this for future reference.
