perfect illustration! ... May I have the home screen on the left please?!! ... and yep, the text sample is ghastly too.  Just wish I hadn't been so naive as to trust Apple's upgrade or so scared that missing it would somehow risk my phone security.  When it comes to these things it would be so nice to have the knowledge, understanding, and general geekiness of some of the techies here.  :-(

    Sigh

Doing my best to learn how to live with it until I can muster the pennies to change phones... but I am no longer a proud iphone user..

My 4S on ios7 with all the junk turned off barely lasts 12-14hrs.

    Have you restarted your device?

    Have you reset your device?

Have you reset all settings on your device?

Have you restored your device from a backup?

Have you restore your device as new?

These are all basic troubleshooting steps, and the first two are normal, preventative maintenance of the device.

Just google "i hate ios 7" and you will be astonished to find the results. 1000s People hate it. The fact that you haven't  met anyone doesn't mean that they don't exist.

Today I received the final response from the Cupertino Better Business Bureau regarding my complaint to Apple about iOS7.  Apple's response pointed to the terms of service basicaly stating there's no warranty for the product.  Twice they refused to allow re-installation of iOS 6 or to allow me to purchase a phone from them without iOS7.  I purchased my many Apple products becasue they "just work."  One by one these products, especially with my iphone 4 which I now can't read and now consumes almsot twice the power it used to, "just don't."

So I'm done and I'm especially done with the iDrones on this thread who feel empowered to attack those of us who wish to express dissastifation with what Apple has done and is doing to our devices.  They seem to forget that Apple got to where it is becasue of customers, of whom I and the "whiners" are among.

I've done the first two. I'm supposed to do the rest.... because this is an apple device, not a microsoft device yes?? Bloody ****.

As is mentioned in other posts, I also bought my apple device because it "just works". Not anymore. Those days seem to be over.

Nobody in the entirety of this discussion has claimed that dissatisfied users do not exist. So, nice strawman you built there.

Where did I say they didn't? I know there are some as there are a few here in this thread. I said I have never met anyone in person. Like most people, I'm more inclined to trust real life experience than internet hype. I think that the number of people who hate iOS 7 are probably exaggerated as 1) it makes better news copy and 2) people who like software don't spend a lot of time posting all over the internet about it. They just go on about using their phones or iPads.

    Best of luck.

    Google "I hate iOS 7" = 77.8 million results.

    Google "I love iOS 7" = 354.0 million results.

5 to 1 ratio.  What's your point?  No one ever said that there are no dissatisified customers.  Find me a business with a 100% approval rating.

So, even after the BBB ruled against you and gave you a legitimate answer... you're unhappy?

    Sorry to hear that.

And it's not about attacking you for a difference of opinion.  It's about you misusing this forum.  That's been the ENTIRE point all along.  Use the appropraite channels.  This is for technical assistance.  The feedback channel is for OPINIONS.

And you expect respectful replies when you use terms like 'iDrones'?  Respect is a two way street.  Show some personal integrity and refaring from insulting attacks yourself.

Yes, you are supposed to do the rest, because no device is perfect, and all devices require some form or preventative maintenance.  These are the standard troubleshooting steps.  Until you try them and they do NOT resolve your issue, there's no use in complaining.

Those result statistics can be misleading, as many of the results within the two are things like "why i don't love iOS 7," and without the quotation marks, Google will pull up everything with the relavant words. Again, these results are far too broad and general, and, therefore, include things that don't actually agree with the intentions of the search (on both sides).

For a more accurate comparison, you could use the quotation marks for a direct pull, this makes the results much closer in numbers:

    Google: "I love iOS 7" -- About 95,900 results

    Google: "I hate iOS 7" -- About 65,600 results

---This is a ~1.5 to 1 ratio (more precisely: 1.46:1).

And still completely irrelevant to the primary point.  Whether someone likes or dislikes the iOS is irrelevant.

Okay, but the point I was making was that the numbers were misleading. You should have said they were irrelevant instead of putting up the numbers.

No, not really. You prefaced it with the numbers and then produced a "5:1" ratio, then said "What's your point?," i.e., implying that because the ratio was so one-sided, there's no point.

Anyways, I don't want to dilute this thread any further with (also irrelevant) arguments over symantics. Right now, I'm in agreeance with you: Whether someone likes or dislikes the iOS is irrelevant; it's about overall functionality and specific areas that should be open to criticism in hopes of improving them in the next update. Specifically, I would like to see the color schemes modified to improve readibility, as well as re-instating certain features that were removed or moved elsewhere that make little sense (case in point, moving Safari's Reader features of increasing font size, etc. from the Reader itself to the Settings section under the "dynamic text" section). Like Kenneth Collins1 said: Under the UI lurks a technically superior iOS, they just need to get there.
