But you don't own the iOS, you license its use from Apple and you to agree to their terms, which includes no downgrading. If you wanted to continue using iOS 6, you should not have upgraded.

It's like: you buying a new GPU from ATI, but The ATI Software says: You can just playing Mahjong with your 400€ Gpu.
That is very silly!
You really should take that up with Apple since we, users, here are not able to do anything to help you with your problem.
Personally, I put your chances right up there with the snowball in you know where.

Nov 1, 2013 9:17 PM in response to adamdavid80by Maquiladora,Apple "sold" me iOS 7 as an upgrade... it's a freaking downgrade if you ask me.
I know Apple won't allow restores to previous iOS, but I I sure hope their stock will go down soon enough when people realize iOS 7 (and what's next) doesn't deliver...
"...our purpose was to create an experience that was simpler, more useful, and more enjoyable."
Yeah right!
Simpler: all white
More useful: copy-paste some Android features
More enjoyable: spending more quality time whining on these forums

Nov 2, 2013 9:10 AM in response to Maquiladoraby Richatom,The irony is that it is actually possible to buy an Android phone and reskin it to look like OS6. I might do that next time rather than putting up with this hideous OS7.
I agree with the poster who said he had bought an OS6 phone and wants it back. I feel the same way - my expensive devices have been devalued by OS7. The retort - "you shouldn't have upgraded" is not a valid argument. Firstly, Apple forced the download onto our devices, taking up about 1.2GB of storage, and giving no option to remove it. Second, many, many people (including myself) had no idea that the upgrade would be made irreversible. Third, Apple did not announce many of the changes they made - there is no way to find out what is different except to install and try it out. For example, where in Apple's description of OS7 can you find any announcement that the new Photos app would no longer have Places view? I only found that out after I had upgraded.

Nov 2, 2013 4:59 PM in response to Richatomby SPQR42,Richatom I agree with everything you have said. I had to download ios 7 because I had a problem with my iphone. I am now thinking of exchanging it for a non apple phone and I never thought I would say that as I always loved Apple but I hate ios 7 I just hate to look at it now the blinding white everywhere and the icons that look like the were mead by the makers of Hello Kitty it's slow also. What really gets me is Apple's arrogance at least give people a option or even a skin of iOS 6 but no we're Apple and we don't do options .I can't use notes or calender anymore it gives me a headache with all the white. I really liked the yellow notes it was nice and simple to use maybe it's just time to try another brand of phone which gives me options to customise.
I like somethings in iOS 7 just a shame it's lost the charm and classic look that mead it different to every other phone os. Now with ios 7 it blends it with all the other phones on the market "Think Different" not anymore Apple .

Is this true? An Android phone can be set up to look like ios6?

Of course it can. An Android phone can be made to look any way you want, in the same way Symbian could, using themes, alternative icon sets, launchers etc.

Keep in mind "look like" does not equal "function like".

Yeah, there are ways to change the look. But iOS7 doesn't need, once its already looks like Android.

Nov 3, 2013 1:38 PM in response to irishelf67by enlightme,I have 20/20 vision with glasses and I have trouble reading iOS 7. I agree with irishelf67 "when people who AREN'T visually impaired need to turn on visual accessibility options to use their device THAT IS A MAJOR PROBLEM WITH THE OS!"

Enjoy whatever new phone you choose. Make sure to do some research before making your purchase.

Maybe. Then again, with the purchase of a new phone, you do have a window of time to return it if it's not to your liking.
Not so with iOS 7.
