Yes, iOS 7 is a real Apple product.

"Caveat Emptor"?
Maybe. Then again, with the purchase of a new phone, you do have a window of time to return it if it's not to your liking.
Not so with iOS 7.
You have as much time as you like regarding iOS 7, to do research online, look up opinions, tech blogs, visit a retail store and check out an iOS 7 enabled device, etcetera... prior to updating the iOS.

Nov 3, 2013 2:31 PM in response to TJBUSMC1973by adamdavid80,That's true.
However, iOS 7 will be the LAST time that I download an Apple software update unhesitatingly and with confidence.
This should concern any Apple aficionado. The same way Blackberry had a belief a mere five years ago that they could do no wrong, iOS 7 - and accompnaying updates like iWork 5 - will be a turning point in the public perception of Apple.
Android has caught up in terms of quality of software. No one will buy an Apple or Android device at this point and believe that they got an inferior product. It now comes down to what system people prefer working on. On a personal level, I wouldn't say iOS 7 has been a success.
But in terms of a "caveat emptor" attitude? Never had that attitude towards Apple before. I - and it seems many others here - do now.

Yes, Steve passed away about two years ago. Therefore, it's not a Steve Jobs product. You are correct.

Is this true? An Android phone can be set up to look like ios6?
Of course it can. An Android phone can be made to look any way you want, in the same way Symbian could, using themes, alternative icon sets, launchers etc.
And just why is this in an apple forum?

Steve Jobs has been dead for 2 years. Do you really expect his ghost to come back and give you the same products?

Nov 3, 2013 5:09 PM in response to adamdavid80by anilsudhakaran,Just like Google TV and Chromebook have caught up with Apple TV and MacBook. Please give me a break. Android is a stolen OS, there is no catching up.

Nov 3, 2013 5:27 PM in response to anilsudhakaranby adamdavid80,From a consumer standpoint? Of course there is "catching up".
Lest we forget, Steve Jobs - or Bill Gates for that matter - never really created anything either.
When the Samsung lawsuit first began, the Apple haters were fond of pointing out...well, let's not revisit that haunted house. At least not in this thread.

Nov 3, 2013 5:35 PM in response to KC7GNMby meganuts,I suppose because ios6 is a wonderfully legible operating system. Ios6 is intuitive to understand graphically and - simply put - is easy on the eyes. On a very basic level, interest by avid Apple users remains in ios6.

And what if ios 1-6 had looked like ios7 to start with and then all the sudden ios7 changed and looked like ios6, you all would still be complaining about it.
