Nov 16, 2013 7:43 PM in response to modular747by Proteous714,Well I'd say that it looks like the word has gotten around re: IOS 7. If the mixpanel ios 7 adoption rate is accurate there has been essentially no uptake in IOS7 usage in the past few weeks.. the rate is pretty much flat holding at around 75%. It is actually slightly lower today than back in late October.
Now if you added in the percentage of users who would revert to 6 (if they were able), it would likely add at least another 20 - 25 % to the IOS 6 numbers, possibly more. Hence I would peg "willing" IOS 7 users at around 50 % at the moment.

Nov 16, 2013 9:07 PM in response to modular747by adamdavid80,Can anyone tell me what 7.0.4 is all about?
I know 3 provided a relief from the zooming transitions, which gives me a LOT more incentive to upgrade, but I still am reluctant due to the amount of whitespace (especially as text in messages), among a handful of other reasons.

Nov 17, 2013 6:46 AM in response to modular747by adamdavid80,Any word on phone's being wiped out when doing this particular upgrade? I've heard mention of it, and see that there is a forum here.
I *DO* backup on a nearly daily basis, but I'm just concerned that this bug fix...well, has a bug.
(and since the recurring theme of this discussion is caveat emptor, it seems prudent to ask as much as possible from every angle from beforehand)
btw, why *DID* the initial iOS7 remove wikipedia and google searches? it seemed almost doomed to an eventual acquiesce to bring them back, no?

No more than any prior update. If you back up immediately before updating, zero risk of losing data.

Why are you asking me? No one here knows why Apple does or doesn't do anything they haven't publicly announced.

If by that you mean you can't downgrade to an earlier version, the same has been true for every update since iOS 1.0.1.

If IOS is gaining in marketshare over Android why did Samsung see a 46% increase in sales over the past quarter while Apple increased only 23%?
In Q3 2012 Apple had 14% of the global market and in Q3 2013 that has now dropped to 12%. Sansung has maintained a 32% marketshare from Q3 2012 to Q3 2013.

You must be a Pee Wee Herman fan - "I know you are, but what am I…"
The indisputable fact is that you estimate of those who want to go back to iOS 6 is no more than wishful thinking on your part.
It's not surprising that you use use Mixpanel statistics when it suits you (and your sponsor), then dismiss them when they displease you (pleural).
