TJBUSMC1973, this thread has become a rant fest with no useful information being conveyed. I humbly suggest not wasting time here, because there are plenty of issues being discussed rationally in other threads in the forum that could use your outstanding knowledge and experience.
Very kind of you, Lawrence. As someone else stated, the OP's question has long been answered. Everything else is just griping.
Let's go help a few of those millions of Apple customers that are enjoying (and effeciently using/willing to learn to use) this new update!

Sep 24, 2013 6:36 PM in response to glmcauleyby erickf315,I think you are right, Apple had a classy image but now it looks like an expensive jock. They have phones for about
$ 100 and a cheap look that only satisfy apple. Out of 10 apple users at work only one didn't have complaints about the thin letters on the keyboard so the million of new customers are in for a big surprise. White and almost gray letters is a bad choice! Fanatics usually are blinded but we will see later. For the moderators and the fanatics, Im sure you guys will never accept others point of view. You always will be right. Don't judge, accept that your opinion is not the only one. Thanks

I have a lot of problems with the user interface on iOS7. I am a 66 year old software and system designer, and Ive lost the ability to focus as sharply and quickly as do many of my age. The new thinly drawn icons, often in light pastels against a light gray background are very hard to visualize when you don't have sharp focus. Comparing the prior version side by side there are many examples that illustrate a user interface which is much harder to use for someone with aging eyes.
Most of these concerns are not addressed by any of the the Accessibility issues (I've tried them all) as there is no setting to make icons sold (rather than drawn in thin lines) and nothing that restores light gray prompts and indicators with something more readable or replaces white on white with contracting areas to identify selection areas (for example the Email send). Even removing the dark background from the clock on the locked screen is unwelcome change. Overall I believe Apple has wrongly sacrificed usability for cheap cosmetics.
That said, they dont seem to be listening, and may have reinforced this disregard from the community by recently removing of the ability to restore your prior backups of iOS6. Personally I feel this act alone probably challenges some California laws as it is removing something from our possession which we purchased without our permission and I have asked my law partners to investigate.
So if a class action lawsuit is not possible to get the option to restore iOS6, then at least we should strongly consider a open petiton to Apple Management to bring them to their senses.
I'm having a difficult time reading your text with that Noteworthy font. It's kind of hard on the eyes.
May I suggest something in a nice Arial, perhaps?

Sep 24, 2013 8:36 PM in response to TJBUSMC1973by gifts4me,I had no problem reading it, I totally agree with him. We should have the option to go back to 6 if we want to.

Sep 24, 2013 8:43 PM in response to West-Eastby gifts4me,Agreed, they need to give us more options, like being able to use the OS6 layout, even if we upgraded to 7

Sep 24, 2013 8:59 PM in response to Phil0124by GABarber,I disgree with your comment that 5 minutes on apple's site is going to give the user the same experience as having it on their phone. Even the focal distance to to a computer screen is very different from a phone in the hand - as is the actual size.

Sep 24, 2013 9:27 PM in response to viperman17by ShardsOfWater,I am another user who absolutely hates the new interface. With the iOS 7 upgrade, Apple has pretty much lost the good will that it has built up with me over the years. Yuck.

Sep 24, 2013 9:41 PM in response to viperman17by joshua274,I hate that they removed swipe to change songs in music i used that feature a lot!
as for the new look it dont bother me and i acutally kind of like it I could care less about the Apple app Icons as i hide half of the ones I never use anyway.
I like the new flat look for settings and for messages etc..
The dock looks stupid tho I wish it was more transparent.
I dont really like the new notifaction center i have to drag down and select another tab to see my texts etc... don't really like that.
lots of bugs they need to iron out.
But the worst thing I hate about iOS7 is the **** battery life is crap I could easily get a full day out of my iPhone 5 and thats with tethering to my iPad mini all day streaming Pandora. now with my new iPhone 5S and iOS7 i can even get half a day out of my phone
