Q: how do i uninstall IOS7

If surface aesthetics WEREN'T important, Apple wouldn't have spent billions developing a unique look everyone wants to copy. Aesthetics has always been a major part of Apple's appeal along with dependable operating systems. My phone is no longer a wifi hotspot since I downloaded this new system. That's what I PAID for.

The graphic interface looks like a toddler's bad video game. Come on Apple. You can do better.

Thinking about it, YOU may not care but I do think people here do care or there wouldn't be some many posts about this subject.  Apple is making a mistake not to let people use what they want.  That's all....

Apple did not force anybody to update. It was totally voluntary.

If you did not like the OS you could have opted to not update the phone.

Whether the option to downgrade is available may be donw to technical issues where having to support downgrades brings with it some other unseen issues.

And it should be voluntary to go back.  Simple as that.

Maybe you should try explaining that to Apple at http://www.apple.com/feedback/

So far no one else has been able to get Apple to change its mind about downgrading of iOS in all the years it has been out there.

And even more.... its only been all of 7 days since IOS7 is out.. and I would wager there is not a single app out there that has been updated to version 7 than will not run just as well on IOS6. Im still running 6.1.4 currently and plan to keep that for the foreseeable future unless Jonny and Tim do a better job on IOS 8.

Yes, but you are prompted to do so just like an upgrade to ITUNES. Never ever occurred to me it would be such a headache. It's an APPLE product. If I had known I would NOT have upgraded.

As I said it may not be technically possible... There may be many technical issues invovled in going back which we don't know about. 

As it stands there is no way to go back. Posting here will not change that.

OK I just sent them feedback. I was calm and rational, I described all the issues I've been having today. But frankly I'm a practically brand new IPHONE user and I was SO happy. Now I'm miserable. I'm pretty tech savvy, but this is WHY I abandoned Dell and Windows to come back to MAC. This stuff is typical Windows crap. I expect better from MAC.

Why should there be a footnote?  That's part of the terms & conditions, and downgrading has NEVER been an option, not since the first iOS device debuted SIX years ago.

No, if you want to use any operating system you want, then don't use an Apple product.  This has never been a secret.

No, each individual person cares about their individual situation.  No one here cares if another person switches or not... or if they do, then that's pretty sad.

No, it shouldn't.  It's spelled out very clearly in the terms & conditions.  Did you read those terms & conditions before installing the iOS 7 update?

There's more to it than that.  But, hey, believe whatever you want.  There's a REASON Apple doesn't support downgrading.

Consider the 90% in light of the 10% aesthetic you find subjectively unpleasing.

Well I would say downgrading has never really been needed before, as each update was an improvement on the previous iteration. Sadly, this is no longer the case now that the IOS team has new leadership, and so a downgrade option .. in probably the first time in the Iphones history (and I have owned them all since the oginial 2G IPhone :-P ) ... would represent an improvement over their latest work.

Agreed, all I was trying trying to do was upgrade my i tunes since I hadn't done it in a while.  I had my phone attached to my computer after uploading pictures and forgot to unplug. Next thing I know it had downloaded os7!
