This is a decision based on technological constraints, not on marketing ideas.
Again, who do you think you're fooling?
If it was a 'marketing' decision for iOS 7, then why has it NEVER been supported by Apple, since iOS first debuted?

Gosh..I don't know, maybe because it has ALWAYS been a 'marketing' decision since iOS first debuted?

Sep 25, 2013 7:30 PM in response to Vagabondby Vagabond ,“According to multiple people who have either seen or have been briefed on the upcoming iOS 7, the operating system sports a redesigned user-interface that will be attractive to new iOS users, but potentially unsettling for those who are long-accustomed to the platform.” Mark Gurman wrote for 9to5 Mac.
However, the 'long-accustomed' are exactly the customers which were long term contributors to the overall company success!!! And really, it should be something that could ease this situation a bit...

Reading is fundamental.
There are legitimate technical reasons for Apple to not support downgrading.
Example: If I wanted to downgrade to 4.2.1, then I couldn't use 99% of my Apps on my iPhone.
So, should a customer be 'allowed' to downgrade to 4.2.1, just because they didn't like the way iOS 5 looked? What about when the same is true about iOS 6.1.3, when it is an outdated iOS for the majority of current apps?
Just because you don't understand the technical reasons doesn't mean they don't exist.
Is downgrading possible? Sure, by using unsupported methods. Is it advised by the actual engineers, or any developers? No.

Sep 25, 2013 8:10 PM in response to viperman17by Mho12,I agree with you, I have a 4s and updated to the iOS 7 from the iOS 5.1.1, have had for less than a week and not happy. It gives me vertigo and it drains my battery with even closing all apps multiple times a day! Want the iOS 5.1.1 back now!

Sep 26, 2013 1:28 AM in response to KittyK36by vawiha,Their lack of support is only going to cause Apple to lose more customers than it gains. Sounds like a bad marketing decision on their part, not to mention the ios7 is harder to read, looks cheap, drains the battery and it overheats.

It's sad to read that it's nearly impossible to get back to IOS6. I'm really disapointed by IOS7..... maybe time to buy a Samsung !
