Could you kindly link to a discussion article on "how to uninstall IOS 6" that has even close to the length of this post?

No.  Again, that violates the ToS of the forum.

    -------------------

Am I missing the quote option somewhere here btw? Or is that capability only given to mods?

But in repsonce to the above... Seriously? Its a violation to provide a link to another discussion article in the same forum? I'd like to see that section of the terms of service.

I suspect the other reason its a "No" is because there are no "uninstall ios6" threads with more than 2 or 3 pages, (I did a cursory search myself) while this one shows no signs of slowing down anytime soon.

    Fanboy since early Apple years

    every upgrade hard and soft

    was logical and exciting

    and please

do not call me old fashioned

    but

    iOS 7

    is totally disappointing

    not in function but

    I cannot stand to look

    at my phone any more

    as designer I disliked skeuomorphism

    but these were minor discomforts

and no taste is the same

    but

    why this FisherPriceWin8Android feel

and if u really hang on to this flatness

why no choice in color scheme

I do not doubt Apple's ability

to come up with amazing color schemes

    for everyone's need

    or

    if u want flatness

    why no refined flatness

    like the Clear app

    and most of all

    why this hopeless illegibility

    with all this whiteness

    which cannot be adjusted

    it is not life threatening

    and the hardware hasn't

    lost any of it's touch

    but please Apple

please us as being part of

"here is to the crazy ones"

    if it such an effort

    let me pay for it

just like the glossy MbPro screens

and paying extra for antiglare lovers

let us downgrade to iOS 6

    until you found a way

    to love our phones again

The new icons make me look like my phone is for a 5-year old.  Any way to get adult icons?  The transparent "slide to unlock" is annoying as well, and the numbers that come up for my password look like the belong to fisher-price, not apple.  Seriously, we're adults - don't we deserve a product that looks like it is made for us?

Are there any apps to change the icons, or even just the color - the "invert colors" option only gives us either blinding white, or eye-damaging black and white, at least on the settings menu - 10-seconds of that was enough to make me turn it off.

I am so having visual trouble with the new upgrade. Headaches.. Eye strain. . I mean who the **** would develop something that looks watered down, flimsy and cumbersome. Can barely see the icons without fully examining them.  I didn't need glasses but feel as though I do now. I seriously don't need this crap.

It makes me wonder if the developer of ios7 actually is working undercover for Android.

It has been almost a week using the new upgrade and I've tried to be patient and calm with the layout. But here's the thing, it is crap. I think I've gone back in time. And I'm seriously considering going to Android after this total flop.

Like many here, I am very very unhappy with Apple.  The fact that , in light of a major software change, they would not allow a longer window to revert back to io6 is unforgivable.  As one who purchased an iphone 4 and 5, an ipad, and purchased equipment for my friends, hereby pledge that if apple does not open back up the window for io6 I will never purchase an apple product again.  All of you who are equally offended should make the similar pledge.  By purchasing apple products we built Apple... And if Apple chooses to so arrogantly refuse such a simple, easy to grant request,we should all forever refuse to purchase Apple products.

There wasn't one; I think we all know that. IOS 6 was a pretty transparent and benign upgrade. We got Shared Photo Streams and some stuff like that but nothing earth-shattering. So, 'It's always like this.."  is pretty bogus.

The real change you should be clamboring for is for Apple to fix IOS7. 6 is dead for devices that accept 7: no more bug fixes, no security updates. Retrograding to 6 should be a short-term solution only.

    Ios7.jpg

    iOS7 (left) x iOS6 (right)...

iOS7 = Looks like the (add contact) app was not completed by the developer, just a blank page with some texts floating around. Like everyelse in the new iOS7 .. Where are the buttons and text boxes like iOS6.. Its much more clean in iOS6, organized, sharp.. iOS7 IS A FOUR LETTER WORD

It's the new space-wasting 'white space' concept.

Go to Music -> Artists list, and compare what you see to IOS 6. Would love to see that compared on the same device.

Here's a solution that worked for me, but it involved upgrading the phone with my wireless carrier, from 4S to 5:

Your wireless carrier can activate/upgrade you to an iPhone 4S or 5, which most likely still has iOS6 installed. I successfully did this today, and recovered everything from my older iPhone using the pre-iOS7 iTunes backup.

[This is a repeat of a previous post since the thread keeps getting longer...]

I bought another new iPhone 5, it was still with iOS6 (and I am not planning to upgrade it at all). I am now selling my old iPhone 5 with iOS7 .. LOL

More pictures: (what they have done with the dial pad??) soo sad...

    ios7-1.JPG

More pictures: (what they have done with SAFARI ?) MORE soooooooo sad...

    Again: iOS7 (FOUR LETTER WORD)

Totally agree  This new OS7 actually hurts my eyes and makes it more difficullkt to read. As a longtime Apple user for 25 years one of their strengths of Apple has always been graphics ( why so many graphics artists have used their products) This was a major step back in the look and graphics. To those who pipe up about all the improvements the bottom line is this is what you have to stare at on the screen everyday.
