My problem with that (clearly seen) is that with IOS6 I can clearly read the Recents Contacts Voicemail etc. Not nearly as legible with IOS7. The layout is OK - that's just change - but the legibility is worse than before, and that's not OK.

Sep 26, 2013 7:37 AM in response to viperman17by BBN57,So very glad I did not upgrade my 5. However, others in my family did and unless something is done to allow the return to IOS6 the battery life, key lag and other issues with the iPhone 4S will force us to leave Apple for a stable and dependable platform that just works for calls, EMail, Texts and browsing. Is that too much to ask? Just want the ability to rollback to a platform that met our needs nicely and didn't eat a fully charged 4S battery so fast the case gets hot! Turning off this mindless banter and will check back in a week at which point if nothing has been done to address this I will purchase something else and when my other contract is up I will replace that one too. Have 4 iPads, 3 Macbooks and How many others feel the same way?

Sep 26, 2013 10:53 AM in response to igtothby cheonweb,Clean install (not restore from backup) of iOS 7 on my iPhone 4 is faster than my 3years old (not restore as new from the first day) iOS 6.
I updated to iOS 7 and restored from backup was ok (some tasks faster some slower) but I decided it was time for a fresh install after 3 years of use. Now all works perfect, better and faster.

Sep 26, 2013 11:36 AM in response to viperman17by brsm1990,Not only does it look bad but when I installed iOS 7 I immediatley went from ~8 hours usage to 4. I then disabled all the "cool features" according to a battery saving guide and I'm still at less than 5. No changes made at all other than an upgrade to iOS 7 - half the battery life. Apple is now firmly in the category of company where all the new "latest and greatest" things they release are significantly worse than the previous.

Sep 26, 2013 11:37 AM in response to BBN57by brsm1990,That's exactly what I got a hot phone that melts down the battery in no time flat. Stare at an unlocked phone not even doing anything and you can watch the battery drain literally.

Sep 26, 2013 12:56 PM in response to BBN57by FANNOMORE,I certainly feel that way. I'm so angry I could spit nails! I have been a loyal fan of apple for years until today.
To take away the ability to downgrade to what I loved about owning my iphone 5? I can't stand my iphone now.
I HATE IOS7. Why would I want my iPhone to look and behave like an android phone? It looks cheap.
I should have googled it first. I thought I could downgrade. Well I won't make that mistake again. If this isn't fixed in the next couple of weeks, I am selling my iphone.
And I'll tell you something else, I was planning on buying a new Macbook Air not anymore. I'll sell my iPad too.
Yes I am that angry. While I may be 1 insignificant drop in the bucket, drops will eventually add up and the next thing you know you'll be up to your neck in it.

Buy whatever you want.

Sep 26, 2013 1:05 PM in response to FANNOMOREby gifts4me,I feel the same way. I am going to the Apple store today and will see what I can get done. Taking the post from the gentleman who was able to go back after many calls and visits to the store but he got it done. They only gave the customers a week after the new release to go back. Shut it down the weekend of the 21st. I did mine by mistake while upgrading I Tunes on my laptop. Funny thing is, I had my phone plugged in and forgot to disconnect after I uploaded pictures and voila my phone changed to OS7 and didn't realize what I had done until it was finished. If they do not correct this and give those of us the option to downgrade I will probably not buy another Apple product again. Yes, I am that angry too....

Sep 26, 2013 2:08 PM in response to hot_spurby yofromto,Hey hot spur, no more need to worry about Apple not being here. I wrote to their feedback section and asked them to read this Apple support community feed of close to 50 pages, over 25000 views of people looking for the answer of how to get iOS 6 back, with around 700 replies and comments. So welcome Apple to the real complaints department.
