I enjoy the new icons. The old ones were getting pretty dated with their pseudo-3d look, and pseudo-reflective appearance. As Mies van der Rohe said "Less is more."

49 pages and counting...I look forward to reading whats new on this post everyday! It was obviously a mistake on apples end to release ios7. Look at all the attention this post created. I'd like to see another upgrade get this much attention...for the worse!

Did you happens to count the pages of posts when iOS 1 was released? iOS 2? iOS 3? iOS 4? iOS 5? iOS 6?

That's the best idea really. There's still a lot of ppl selling their older phones with IOS6.x still on it.

If Apple refuses to allow reversion to a previous OS, then at least have an option under "settings" to allow user switching between either the "classic" user interface or the "new IOS7 experience" interface.

I think iOS 7 is just ever so slightly worst then priors releases of iOS.

Having said that I do not it is enough to get Apple concerned in the least.

To add my 2 cents to the discussion, I absolutely hate iOS 7. I haven't found anything I like about it.  Aside from the nauseating graphics,  the functionality of some of the basic apps is deplorable.  For example, the new Safari interface is horrible.

Apple has lost it's edge when it comes to innovation and in a desperate attempt are changing things that don't need changing just to be able say, "Look at this new and improved version."  New, yes...improved, no.

Holy Crap! This is the ugliest thing I have seen in a while. Whoever thought the neon fucia was a good color for the iTunes Store needs to be fired (which happens to be one of the better new icons.) Hot red for the music? Primary green for FaceTime and Phone? Anyone with an art degree should know that these colors clash when desplayed on one screen. I have no problem with change, the new login keyboard is fine,...but the color palate and color intensity for the os is garish! The change in icons is also ok, but the colors are incredibly ugly. It looks like kindergarten all over again...tone down the saturation a bit and it might look OK, not great,..but OK.

I just bought this iPhone a couple of months ago and if things stand it will be my last.

Yes it is nauseating with the animations,   some of the functionality in IOS 7 is  nice but they could have added all that to the existing look !  a smartphone should be about function, eye candy does nothing for production.  And yes , the safari interface is awful, cant they learn anything from chrome or firefox

To me, it looks like Disneyland threw up!  Despite the Apple trolls who insist most people like ios 7, the online polls I've seen say the exact opposite.  The brilliant man behind this upgrade (and I am being VERY sarcastic) seems to have ignored the fact that many visually impaired people use Apple products and the new interface makes them useless.  Apparently, he wasn't aware of all the complaints from visually impaired people regarding contrast after the previous iTunes update, since the new ios has the same issue!  It's like when Windows went from XP ( visually impaired friendly) to Vista which wasn't.  To visually impaired people, Vista was a DOWNGRADE.  Same goes for ios7!

I am SO glad I didn't update my year old iphone 5 with this mess.  Starting to lose some faith in the ole Apple.  Why would they make it so kindergarten looking?  To appeal to the youngins?  Guess what, Apple geniuses, it isn't the youngins who are paying for these phones....get my drift?

First, no need to be insulting.

Second, provide a link to these polls, please.  Let's see where they are being hosted, and the way the questions are being asked.

Most satisfied customers don't voice their satisfaction.  Less than 5% of customers that are satisfied responde to surveys from the company in question, and that percentage goes up only slightly when a 'bribe' is involved.

@Roamies,  You hit the nail on the head.  That would be the BEST THING they could do and make all of us happy.  Just went to the Apple store to see if they could help go back to this "classic" look and they said no.  The guy was so nice, he agreed but had to be careful with what he said.  I understand that, it's his job and why lose it over someone who is unhappy with the upgrade. Remember in Snow Leopard you had the option for classic mail or not? It was great!

Careful... A corporation that had no problem taking away ones right to choose to go back to a previous IOS May have no qualms about your right to freedom of speech and might put the Kabosh  on this discussion...
