You seem to misunderstand "freedom of speech". Rest assured that Apple has no ability to change any part of the Bill of Rights. However, just as you have the right to tell people to shut up when they say things you don't like at your dinner table, Apple has the right to remove whatever it wants here. In fact, you even agreed to that when you signed up. You are still perfectly free to state your opinion about Apple or the President in any public place of your choosing.

If you're not in the U.S., well, maybe Apple does have the ability to change laws in your country.

Then it's time to move the discussion over to kraygslistt so it has more public exposure.

How is your freedom of speech being infringed?  Is Apple preventing you from going on the corner of 1st & Main and protesting against iOS 7?

Or are they choosing to enforce THEIR rights on THEIR private property?

You need to learn about the First Amendment and how it works before you begin accusing someone of violating your First Amendment rights.

Go call the ACLU if you really think your rights are being trampled upon.

I think iOS7 is a disaster. The text contrast is WAY too harsh, and the transition animations are from PowerPoint ten years ago--it's like looking at a digital camera screen that can't settle in a focus so it's constant zooming in and out. Headache city!! WHAT were they thinking?!

On one level this whole thing is crazy... All Apple has to do is open a small additional window of time to allow those dissatisfied with the io7 to revert to io6 and all will be well....in time as the io7 is tweaked and many of the issues are addressed then those who reverted to io6 will probably buy future apple products anyway.  But the way it stands now Apple is alienating many, many customers and would-be fans because they are trapped with io7 and have no remedy...  . That is just stupid public relations to say the least....

And what happened to the "genius" feature in the App Store?  I found the majority of my apps through that feature.  Why would they take that out?  Was it misbehaving and causing problems for them or is it another example of changing things that worked perfectly fine before?

    Great video!!!

The market has a way of taking care of itself, so have faith. If Apple realizes it made a mistake it won't allow you to load the old OS, but it will allow you select the old look and feel with a new OS. If not, someone out there will come up with an app that gives you back the old OS without actually reverting back to the old OS.

I liked the analogy of "New Coke." Much like the iPhone, iPad and iPod, Coke is an "iconic" product with a huge following. They couldn't afford to have their customers switching over to Pepsi, and Apple can't afford to lose customers to Samsung.

Think about it. It's just a friggin phone! The way some of you are acting you'd think your whole family just went over a cliff in a bus. Have faith. It's gonna be good. It's not the end of the world. Worst case scenario you'll learn to live with it, your contract will end and you can do whatever you want. By then maybe Apple will have the new iPhone 6 or Samsung will have a phone that grants wishes, slices bread and opens beer bottles.

I hope that they make some adjustments to ios7. I find certain features are not up to prior apple iOS for iPhone. Why is the note pad page solid bright white? no lines ?

    What were they thinking?

Basically, this is not the iphone I bought!

What if you spent a lot of $ on a brand new car with awesome options and you woke up one morning and many of those options are gone and they painted funky polka dots all over it ?! Instantly, it's not the car you bought .. cheap hubcaps instead of awesome wheels ... only an AM radio ( with one cheap speaker) and windshield wipers with gaps so you get streaks ... and all under the guise of an UPGRADE ????

I certainly hope they are working on mellowing it out a bit ... give us back options we fell in love with that kept us upgrading to newer iPhones

yes, there is still a lot of greatness to iPhones ... but come on ... it's just not right

    ( there's a saying " if it ain't broke ... don't fix it ........... it wasn't broke!!)

To me, it looks like Disneyland threw up!

OMG irishelf67, priceless! One of the best, pithiest assessments yet! Thank you for bringing tears of laughter to trail the tears of utter dismay, frustration and nausea.

    ... still laughing ...

Unfortunately unless some vandal went and repainted your car, the only way to "update" to a newer car is for you to go and buy it that way, just like how you would willingly download the update knowing that the internet was filled with videos and photos of iOS 7, you say you dont like it but you updated anyway???

If a car is not broken why get a new one??? Maybe because you like how the new one looks after you do your research before you buy it.... If you dont like how new cars are then you would keep work older working car, right???

Nobody likes them some Apple, like Meganuts likes him some Apple, but some of the posters here seem to be expressing canned responses that extend beyond that of normal brand enthusiasm and allegiance. The Kool-aid tastes sweet, but c'mon. It's obvious that Stevie J ain't mixing up this cocktail any more.

Indeed, IOS 7 introduces some cool new functionality. Simultaneously, IOS 7 suffers from what Hinoki mentioned on page 46 as "hopeless illegibility." To not recognize both developments suggests that one has limited powers of observation.

Suggestion from Meganuts: someone at Apple should enroll in a calligraphy class. Immediately.

    Dear Apple!

Please return the design iOS 6!

I used an iPhone for several years with joy, I was pleased to take him in hand. Today I upgraded to iOS7.0.2. When I saw the new design I almost cried. I am always happy to use your products, they were pleased to take over. Now it pains me to look at my iPhone. I want to go back to iOS 6! Please change the design or make a choice to use old!

I've never written messages, because I liked everything. But now it is a pain!

PLEASE RETURN THE DESIGN iOS6.1.3 TO PEOPLES!
