Apple does not read these Communities...we are all fellow users and not Apple employees.  To make your point with Apple you will need to contact Apple via the feedback link: http://www.apple.com/feedback

In case you haven't been paying attention, we are already up to iOS 7.0.2. The new OS mostly fixes screen lock securtiy issues but i see more updates coming. (Security always comes first.) Keep the faith.

So far what I've done to make iOS 7 livable is to:

    1. Do some searches on Google.

    2. Turn off some things that were sucking the life out of the battery.

    3. Lower the brightness (help with the whiter than white backgrounds).

    4. Enlarge the text.

    5. Bold the text.

Let's all try to help each other here instead of whine.

The ability to enable or disable animations, select multicolor or

black text, and select "vivid or subdued" icons would probably

satisfy most of the people upset with iOS7 interface.

The remainder will not likely be satisfied, no matter what is done.

You do realize that many of these posters are actually more interested in whining than getting assistance.

@ziggy925,  I don't see it as whineing as much as wanting the option to use the OS6 layout for the IPhone should one want to do that. If Apple would only allow this option, I think a lot of people would be very happy.  I for one updated by pure mistake and am very unhappy with this new view.  Improvements are always welcome and great but if we want to use a different view we should be able to do so. I would think it would be very simple for Apple to grant that.

As to your comment about your thinking it would be very simple for Apple to grant them the ability to downgrade, it appears Apple has never seen it that way. Ever since iOS was released in 2007, Apple has been adament about their position of no downgrades. So from past experience it appears Apple does not agree with you.

I can't believe that this discussion is still going...let alone gotten locked or deleted.  People need to realize that the question has been asked and answered.  Downgrading is not supported, like it or not.  Complaining wont get anyone anywhere.  There's nothing anyone can do about it.  Please state a technical issue that you'd like help with or go away.  Plain and simple.

    Hi again,

I am not suggesting that downgrading be granted as I know they NEVER allow that once the old version is not being signed, that's another issue.  I am just suggesting that we should be given a choice on the view version.  If I had that option I would have no complaints.  Even if they changed that glaring white, the blue colors in contacts, the little outlines etc it would be an improvement on this layout we are forced to accept.

As far as the glaring white goes that was one of the things I took care of by playing with the parameters in accessability.

Hi there, you are another person who wants to know how to get rid of IOS 7. Well you cant. its not possible. Apple does NOT ALLOW IT. If you want IOS 6 back go buy an iPhone that still has IOS 6 on it. other than that enjoy IOS 7.

Ok, so the pacifists view is to just accept the change and move on whether you like the new OS or not. Well I would completely accept that position if they agreed to a prorated refund and allow early termination of the carrier contract.

Root of the issue is this -

The buyer goes to his/her phone store (or online) and they examine a product- the way it works, features, FUNCTIONALITY, USER-ABILITY, looks, etc etc.  So based on personal preferences of their choice they sign a contract and lay their money down.  Then, somewhere in that contract period, they radically change that product. It's no longer the product they bought, and you don't believe the consumer has the right to complain???

@Bmxracer546, this is exactly my plan this weekend.  I already spoke to Verizon about it.  I'll keep the phone with os7 on it until they figure out this awful new layout and use the os6 in the meantime.  i don't care if it costs $150.00 to do that.  Worth it to me.  I've really tried all week to go with it and the white, new layout in contacts, colors etc. are just too hard.  Doesn't make me naseous as even the news is reporting, it's just plain hard to read..

    Allan,

I tried that too and it just isn't eough of a difference for me - even turned brightness all the way down.  I guess I just plain don't like the layout they have chosen for contacts, texts, the grey in the keyboard, the light black letters on the keyboard... the blue outlines, so many little things that add up to  alot.  I even went to the Genious Bar yesterday, no luck...

You certainly have the right to complain, but what's the point of doing it here? We're not Apple, and they don't participate in this forum.

    1. Sounds like a good idea to me.  So, what did your wireless carrier say when you talked to them, since Apple has nothing to do with your carrier contract?

    2. Of course a customer has the right to complain about the deisgn.  But this isn't the forum for that.  It's like going to the DMV and complaining to them about the United States Post Office.  Sure, both are extensions of the government, but they have virtually no interaction.  Go to http://www.apple.com/feedback/ and leave Apple feedback about iOS 7.
