Sep 29, 2013 8:15 PM in response to bruce32by Roamies,Couldn't agree more. The iPhone under ios7 has become a cumbersome and often quirky device now to use. It's used to be an intuitive and responsive device to use with amazingly fluid and smooth scrolling and response.
My 4s has now become a jerky and choppy device with too often poor lag time.
Not to mention all the other issues with mediocre GUI design.
The users who claim this IOS7 is so great don't know what they had with IOS6.x.

Sep 29, 2013 8:24 PM in response to Major_Tom007by Roamies,Just an FYI - the meaning of the 3 sets of numbers.
The first number signifies a major software revision, meaning a significant change to the operation of the device. The 2nd number designates a user or minor change to the existing OS, like a functionality change or update. The 3rd signifies bug fixes and security patches.
Anyway regardless of the update Apple should post from now on I will NEVER update my Apple device again. IOS7 was a significant step backwards in the evolution of the software.

Sep 29, 2013 8:40 PM in response to KC7GNMby frustratedusername,Actually, I didn't know what it was going to look like. I updated for security updates. I never dreamed Apple would want to look like a cheap Windows machine when I was done.

Really. Let's see I could go to the sprint store and see ios7 on the 5S and 5C. They had demo versions at Best Buy. So your argument is not valid. Also what they showed on stage at the WWDC was exactly what you got so you knew way ahead of time what it was going to look like. Don't even try to say you didn't know. You can change the text size and boldness if you want too. You are just too lazy to actually go and do it before complaining on here.
For your argument to be valid, every iPhone owner in the world would need to be an iGeek. That may be your world, but for the vast majority of iPhone owners, they just like the device and use it. As it turns out for those who don't like it, their big mistake was having faith in hitting the "INSTALL" button after Apple pushed the download to their device. If you're suggesting that trusting Apple to provide an attractive product is lazy, then your point is becoming increasingly more valid. Time will tell.
You were just too lazy to do your homework on the product. So you are saying you bought a car without test driving it or asking what the features were first? You are just an uninformed consumer that want's everything spoonfed to them. Do your own research.

Sep 29, 2013 8:42 PM in response to Roamiesby Major_Tom007,It seems that the iphone4 didn't handle the upgrade as well as the newer phones. I own an iphone4 and have been truely experiencing issues pertaining to the upgrade. I've been dealing with Apple's tech support the last few days. They have no idea how to fix the issues with my phone. They are looking into it, but I won't hold my breath! Those that upgraded without any issues really don't understand the frustration some are experiencing!

Sep 29, 2013 8:46 PM in response to viperman17by Jshooter80,I would also like to chime in and say the new update has given me problems I never had before. I want a fast, responsive phone.
I got my iPhone 4S in February 2012 and my phone was always working fine. No complaints after owning a samsung android. My new phone was fast, reliable and awesome. Now with the update, it is as bad as my old android. My lock screen password is harder to type in because of a lag. Hanging up a phone call is sometimes a battle now. When I push END button it freezes for a minute, screen flashes closed and then the call screen comes up again redialing the number.
My battery is also getting eaten up quicker than before. I miss the .COM button on the keyboard. The app icons now look and feel like android.
There are still lots of glitches that need fixing before I can say anything good about the new IOS 7. If this doesn't get fixed, my next phone will not be an iPhone.

Not everyones phone is going slow, all of mine (4, 4s, 5s) run iOS7 Smoothly, yes my 4 is not as fast as the 4s and not nearly as fast as the 5s but I do not experience any slow down...
BTW I know what I had with iOS 6, iOS5, iOS4, etc and I still like iOS 7..

Sep 29, 2013 9:16 PM in response to viperman17by Saigrim,Curious. Why are the same 2 or 3 people on here constantly posting about how they love the new iOS? Who exactly are you trying to convince? I believe the post is about how one would go about getting rid of this craptastic abomination from our expensive devices. More or less I would see this particular thread for people of like mind to vent and voice their displeasure. Never understood why people who really have no need to be in a particular thread feel the need to come in and tell people they don't agree. I mean, if I would have liked iOS7, I would never have bothered to even get on the forums. Much less a thread about how to get rid of it.

Sep 29, 2013 9:41 PM in response to Saigrimby John.watson,Hi Saigram,
I guess because A lot of these users are on these forums to constantly help people, hence why they are continually posting on here . This discussion is a bit of a lost cause. The questions has already been anwsered. There is no supported way to downgrade to iOS 6.
Altho I am a fan of iOS 7, I can only imagine how frustrating it would be for those who aren't. The best place to put this feedback would be apple.com/feedback. Its probably the best place to post if you want change.
Regards,
John

As long as they don't the Terms of Use, members are free to post in any thread they wish, regardless of whether or not they agree with you or whether it's what you would do.
Best of luck.

Sep 30, 2013 6:16 AM in response to viperman17by George_FR,New ios 7 NOT FOR iPhone 4.
Iphone4 (A4 processor) not supported by ios7.
I also use the iphone4 with ios7 now. I'm very disappointed. Too much lags, very slow responding from phone, messages, safari, can't play now on games very bad lags. I can not type messages, the response of the keyboard is a very long. Very quickly drains battery.
Apple company should consider such an offer only for devices iphone4, roll back or downgrade to version ios6.
I like ios7 but that system is not for iphone4.
I do not want to buy a new iphone because ios7, I want to continue to use the iphone4 but with the version ios6.1.3
Thank you for understanding.
