Q: Can't access iWorks apps on iCloud.com

I can't get into Numbers, Pages or Keynote on the iCloud.com website this morning. When I click on one of the icons I get chucked back to a sign-in screen.  Mail, contacts, calendars, etc are all working fine.

Is anyone-else having this issue or is it just me?

Thanks,

Richard

I have had this same problem since last night. It may have been going on longer for all that I know, but when I needed to get Pages in iCloud.com, I kept getting the sign in screen loop.

Anybody else here from the USA?

USA here, east coast.  I was finally able to use pages in iCloud all day today from a mac, a PC w/ Chrome, and the ipad.  Having said that, I did save a copy of my work to dropbox just in case.

I've never had this problem with iCloud before. I have been able to access iCloud.com on one of my iMacs at work that is still running Tiger 10.4.11. It has been very reliable for me up until now.

I can access my documents on my Macs and on my iDevices, but they documents are no longer syncing. I bought a new iPhone yesterday and when I launched Pages on the phone, none of the documents downloaded from iCloud.com. I copied a few of them from iTunes that I wanted to have on the phone right away, but now they all show the arrow pointing north as though they are trying to upload, but they never accomplish the goal.

I suppose that I will have to schedule a call from Apple now. I've never done that before, and I don't want to have to pay for the support if there is a charge.

US. East Coast. Still locked out of iWork apps on iCloud (signin loop). And Numbers iOS and other apps won't sync. Unacceptable, Apple.

I am going to give it until tomorrow and then schedule a call.

The fact that this is happening to a select, random number of users that are spread out all over the world for the most part, leads me to wonder that it might be account related and not necessarily iCloud.com specfic. I'm not excusing Apple nor am I saying that we have done anything wrong, but I wonder if there is some common thread account settings-wise that binds all of us together and that's why we are seeing this behavior.

The excellent developer of Tap Forms, which makes heavy use of iCloud Documents & Data syncing, writes that he encountered the sign-in loop to the iWork apps on iCloud and got a friend in the iCloud division to check it out. It turned out he was locked out and someone else was able to unlock his account. After that he could get back into the iWork apps on iCloud, and his Tap Forms syncing irregularities disappeared too. So, yes, this does appear to be account-related. But what the locked out accounts have in common is anybody's guess.  It certainly puts a big dent in the Apple experience.

Okay, called Apple again, and basically, Apple Engineers are aware of the issue, and because it is server related issue, they don't know when it will be 100% fixed for everyone.

The only solution for now, is to sit tight, and wait. Yeah, not a good solution, but this is the only thing we can do at this point. Check the documents from time to time to see if it's started to sync again.

Basically, waiting is the only solution.

The same with you, I'm in China. My iCould doesn't work since yesterday. All third party apps including iWork do not sync across my iOS devices and my Mac. Dont know why....

Same issue here, icloud.com always brings me back to the login screen after clicking iWorks items. The iCloud feature in OS X version of keynote fails to sync document.

In Germany here and the same issue for almost a week now. Fromm all you posts it appears that calling Apple makes little sense for now. Will wait 2 more days I guess.

Taking so loing to fix this issue and not even officially acknowladging is very poor Apple!!!

I've discussed this with an Applecare Senior Advisor here in the UK this morning.  Surprisingly he wasn't aware of the issue but having reviewed this thread agrees that this could be "an urgent and possible emerging issue".  He has escalated the report to the iCloud engineers and hopes for a timely response!

In summary, locked out of iWork apps on iCloud (Signin loop) and Pages and Numbers (and maybe other apps) on both iOS and OS X won't sync.

Anyone with these issues, please report them to Apple and just maybe we might be able to get a resolution!

Further evidence that this may be an iCloud account settings thing on Apple's end rather than a broader "server" issue... I still can't get into the iWork apps on the iCloud account that syncs iWork (and other apps that use the "documents and data"  protocol.) BUT, just as an experiment, I tried logging into the iCloud account I use to make iTunes store purchases and seeing if the iWork apps would work there. They work fine! (Though, unfortunately, no documents or data are in that account.) It seems that  that iCloud in general is up and running fine but that for some reason Apple has put some sort of lock on some iCloud accounts.

Very strange.  The problem just seems to affect the documents service (and iCloud iWork apps).  Mail, Contacts, Calendar, Notes etc. and iOS device backups seem to work just fine.
