ibooks not loaded on ios7 and other issues

After updating to ios 7 iBook is greyed out and just says waiting. Also, my iPad will not sync and all pics not in camera roll or photostream have disappeared. Clicking on a phot Album just indicates "syncing" but this never completes. Also, some apps' sounds do not work.
