Why can't I access the playlist button when adding songs to a playlist?

Under iOS 6, when editing a playlist (adding music to it), I had access to the playlist button in order to add all the music from one playlist to another. Under iOS 7, one can only access the song, artist, album, and composer buttons from the Edit/+ screen. So if I want to add 5 songs that I know are together on another playlist, I have to find them again in an alphabetical list? Yikes, a severe downgrade in functionality under ios7. Will this ability return or am I just missing something obvious that should let me do it?

I thought I was missing something obvious. I spent half an hour trying to figure out to add songs to a playlist from another playist. I mean, come on, you can add songs based on *composer* but not playlist? I couldn't believe they would just remove the feature. Someone must have really screwed up--it doesn't make any sense.

Adding the fact that a few of my smart playlists just stopped working, I actually took the steps to downgrade. It was a huge pain, but worth it. I'm hoping they fix this before all the apps are outdated.

I can NOT believe they took this feature out! I used to notice that this what they did on the iPad, but that wasn't a big deal. I teach yoga, and I have to put a playlist together EVERY DAY! I don't want to reinvent the wheel, I just want to change it a little, so I would take most of a playlist and just add a couple of new songs. This has CRUSHED ME!!!! PLEASE FIX THIS APPLE! COME ON!!!!!!!!!!!!!

After updating to iOS 7 and realizing that the ability to add songs to a playlist from another pre-made playlist had been taken away, I connected my iPod to my laptop and was able to cue up a play list of random songs, from the various playlists on my iPod, through iTunes. I will admit that this method is quite inconvenient but.....until Apple fixes this issue, this is pretty much the only way that will be available to create a playlist of songs from other playlists.

To everyone on this discussion, I believe I've found an answer to the issue of no longer being able to create a playlist from a playlist already on your device (after the update to iOS 7). All you have to do is go to the App Store and search for an app called PlayMyQ. There is a paid version and a free version of the app. PlayMyQ allows you to create a playlist of songs directly from playlist that are already on your device! Thanks to the PlayMyQ app, I am now able to use my iPod independently to cue up a list of songs from various playlists instead of plugging the iPod into my laptop and working from iTunes.

It was ok up to beta 5. Since the beta 6, the music app lost basic function. I made report, but it seems Apple doesn't care.

But don't worry, when thing like that happens, it's in the keynote of the next ios version. You only have to wait 1 year. Seriously, Apple get on my nerves with some stupid bug or some functionnalities they delete only in 1 ios version. The problem is not that there is a bug/something missing for a couple of weeks, but for 1 year each time. And I just don't want to wait 1 year to be able to use the music app again.

Apple will get news from me each week until they stop their mess.

In an effort to go minimalist they went brain-dead. I have a library of over 7,000 songs. I create my playlists through playlists when I am on the go. And I rarely ever create a new playlist at the computer because I rarely even use my computer, much less synch my iphone/itunes manually with it.

And not only did they eliminate the add from playlist feature, you cannot edit an existing playlist while “on the go” - only those created after i0s 7. Also, you can no longer create a playlist by selecting the genre. But wait - you can select the “Composer". Really?! I don't listen to my music by Composer. Whose idea was that. Now am I supposed to reorganize my music library and categorize songs by Composer?

As the other poster said, the "on the go" list is now virtually unusable. Now I have to go to the computer (which I rarely do). They really took the on-the-go/music app back to ipod-2008. Really a huge leap backwards.

That's how you could always do it, Adding by songs.

If you have 100 songs you just purchased. It's not like you can remember them all when you have to look through 4000 songs.

My recent playlist adding on ios7 involved taking several pictures of my purchased playlist and switching back and forth from photo app to music app and finding each song... Really really annoying.

I agree with above posts, why the **** is there add by composer???

Why can't I access the playlist button when adding songs to a playlist?
