Q: iPhone 5 camera not working after ios 7 update

The front camera works initially, but the rear camera shows a blurry image which then freezes the app.  Several hard resets have had no effect.

    WORKAROUND FOUND ! Download and install "Awesome Camera" app and take a picture with that app. After 1-2 seconds of standby, it will work. Then you can go back to default Camera app which would work again.Please let me know

    You might want to try restoring it.

    I'm having the an issue with my camera too.  After updating to IOS 7.04 my Front Camera Stops working.  The Rear works, but once I switch, the camera freezes I have to exit to launch the Camera app again but only the rear camera works.  It's really weird.  and I think my iphone is expired for warantty now.  I'm stuck .

    Sorry tabled - didn't work for me. Downloaded Awesome Camera but when I tried to take a pic the app just hung and I had to close it down.

    mmm.....have you tried to tap to focus and to zoom in/out with the app ??? as to change settings as exposition ? it is so strange that that app saved me twice with the same problem... and for other people it doesn't work... ;(

    ah......I try my way again ,but now frzze again , and no any effect now...is that bug can change it self????ah.....

    so bad luck ,my pad .....I just buy with my girlfriend in same time ....her white mine is black.......but only my pad have that bug .......bad bad luck....and I only can find some way with poor english in this place .....in Chinese so much people have that same problem

    Hello All,

     

    I am Experiencing the Same Issue w/ my Iphone5. Resets are not Resolving.

    Front Facing Camera is working, but other one is not. I have a call into Apple.

     

    (This just Occured Yesterday).

    Why is Apple not doing anything about this.. People the world over are facing issues with their cameras.. there are reports full of this in all possible forums online.. we want a solution for this.. Apple is replacing phones that are still under warranty, but what about the ones whose warranty just expired.. iphone 5 is not more than 15 months old. and it is having the maximum problems.. camera just stops working...

    I have the same problem. IPhone 5 was replaces only 1 month ago and now camera not works more. I tryed reset, change restriction, deinstall some apps - nothing changes

    It is Frustrating. As an Apple User we have come to expect reliability with our Products. If this is a Product Deficiency, then I expect Apple to bite the Bullet and Resolve. If it is a one off Software or Hardware Issue, then Replace as Needed. I have a call into them in an Hour. I will update once I have Resolution.

    They will change it . As i solved with the trick of using another app (which worked for me but not for other people) , Apple told me that it's better for me to wait for next time the camera app will stop working to call them for a free replacement.

    As I thought, Format of the Phone did nothing. Time to Request a Replacment.
